Frisk's POV

I walked out the front door of the house, adjusting my shirt sleeves and ruffling my wings. I headed toward Grillby's, the place Sans always goes to eat. I hadn't gone more than a few feet when I heard someone running up behind me.

"W-wait up!" Monster Kid yelled, then tripped on a rock beside me. I helped him up, brushing snow off his head. He looked a bit like the Pokemon Scraggy, but with no arms and little brown wings folded against his back.

"You good?" I asked, and he nodded, eyes wide with excitement. "Undyne took me to see King Asgore! It was so cool!" He bobbed his head up and down. I wondered how much candy he's had in the past 15 minutes.

"Oh, also, Undyne asked me to tell you that she needs to talk to you. I'm so lucky! Undyne asked me for a favor!" MK just started talking nonsense after that. We headed to the River Person for a boat ride to Waterfall, which was where Undyne the "Scary Fish Lady" lived. She's actually head of the royal guard, and Papyrus looks up to her. So does MK, but that's just because Undyne's his hero.

We made our way down the snowy, tree-lined path to the River Person. He's called that because his gender is kinda unknown. Or her gender. He (I'm just going to call him a he) has a hood over his head, so you can't see his face, and the rest of his clothing is sort of like a long robe that covers the rest of him.

We stopped in front of the River Person now, and Monster Kid asked for a ride.

"Tra la la," He responded in his light, airy tone, "You want a ride? Where to?" I told him we needed to go to Waterfall. He nodded. I carefully got on the boat, then turned to help MK get on. Once MK was seated and we were both ready, the boat started moving. We went a while without speaking, just watching as Snowdin seemed to shrink behind us.

Eventually we entered a cave, the walls glistening as though they're covered with little stars. The water splashed against the sides of the boat, and then, in little waves, water went against the cave walls. There was no sound except for the water. The River Person was the one to break the silence.

"Tra la la. Eat a mushroom a day." I looked at MK to see if he knew why the River Person said that, but he just shrugged at me. Before either of us could ask, the River Person said, "Tra la la. Why? Oh, because then I'll know you're listening to me."

We arrived at the dock within around half and hour. I stepped off the boat carrying Monster Kid in my arms. I set him down as we turned to thank the River Person.

I put an arm around MK as we made our way through Waterfall to Undyne's house.
