Grillby's POV

I cleaned out a water glass with a plain white towel. My restaurant was full of the usual mid-afternoon chatter. It was pretty peaceful.

At least, until Sans practically broke down the front door. He ran up to the counter saying my name over and over without a pause like a broken cassette tape. It was probably the most exercise Sans had gotten all week.

"Grillby! have you seen Frisk? i can't find her!" He seemed a little panicked. I set the glass and towel down and adjusted my glasses.

"No," I said, trying to calm him down, "I haven't seen Frisk. I can help you look for her later after I close if she's still missing, though." His eye sockets widened and he nodded quickly.

"thanks Grillbz!" Sans said, then spun around, on of his wings hitting the glass on the counter and knocking it to the floor. The glass shattered, but Sans had already ran out the door before I could say anything about it. I sighed.

"Typical Sans." I turned toward the supply closet to get the broom.

Sans's POV

I flew above Snowdin, turning my skull back and forth, scanning the snow covered ground below. I saw Monster Kid walking out of the Librarby (everyone in Snowdin knows the sign was just misspelled, but we still call it the librarby instead of the library) and so I flew down to meet him. MK must have heard me coming down, because he looked up at me while I was still about 10 feet off the ground.

"having an ice walk today?" I asked him. Monster Kid smiled at my pun.

"Yep!" MK responded cheerfully. MK was usually in a good mood. By "good mood" I mean just a little more over-excited about everything than normal.

"have you seen Frisk by any chance?" I asked him as calmly as I could manage.

"Last time I saw her, we were both at Undyne's! Undyne had asked me to go and get Frisk so she could talk to her! I was super happy Undyne had asked me to-" Before Monster Kid could even finish his sentence, I had already teleported to Hotland.

Undyne had some explaining to do. And hopefully Alphys' cameras would show where Frisk went.

Frisk's POV

I walked through Hotland (King Asgore really isn't very good at naming stuff) and passed by one of Sans's sentry stations like the one in Snowdin. How many does he even have? There was also one in Waterfall. I crossed over a bridge, trying not to think about all the lava that was beneath me.

I saw Alphys' lab up ahead. I wondered if she was even home. I walked up to the lab door and knocked, but she must not have been home, because no one answered. Not even Mettaton, but he was probably hosting the MTT show right now. I wondered how many viewers Metta had right then. Usually nine or ten.

I opened up a secret panel by the door, an a small device promptly requested a ten-digit pass-code. I typed it in, and the little screen lit up green. The door opened, and I closed the panel.

When I walked in, I didn't expect anything less than a large pile of instant noodle boxes stacked against the wall. Some were empty, some had been opened but left uneaten, some were half-empty (or half full, whatever you prefer to call it) and only a few that were still sealed. I took on of the unopened ones, and kept going.
