Sans POV

It was her again. She was getting better and better at dodging my attacks, and coming closer and closer to hitting me. We went on and on, the insane devil against me. One of her attacks came closer than I would have liked, and she seemed to notice my growing exhaustion. Her eyes glowed a bright red while her smile widened. I spread my wings, but before I could go anywhere, there was a bright flash and a searing pain across my chest. I just stared at her, wide-eyed. She just brushed past me, laughing insanely.

I slid to the ground, blood spilling from the wound. I held my hand over my rib-cage, like that would do anything. I could feel myself dusting while the room darkened...

Papyrus POV

I woke up from an amazing night of rest. I went out of my room to go prepare breakfast for Sans and Frisk. I figured I couldn't make spaghetti, considering the chat I had with Frisk yesterday, which involved all the reasons why we can't have pasta for every meal everyday.

I was pacing back and forth in the kitchen, trying to decide what to make, when I heard Sans scream from his room. Just so I don't shatter his pride right here and now, it was not a girlish scream. I flew up the stairs and landed in front of Sans's door.

"SANS? ARE YOU ALRIGHT?" I asked, opening the door gently to find Sans sitting upright in his bed, sweating and shaking. He only nodded his skull in response.

   "j-just a bad dream, that's all."

   "hey Paps, where's Frisk?"

I turned around from my spaghetti masterpiece to look at him, responding with a simple "Hanging out at Undyne's." He seemed a little confused and asked why. I just shrugged and turned back to the spaghetti I was working on.

"i'm going to Grillby's," Sans said, already walking out the door, "see ya' later."

No one's POV

Sans walked through Snowdin, looking around at the tall pine trees and fluffy snow. He figured something was up. Frisk hadn't come home yesterday, and now he was left with the bad feeling something had happened to her. She probably stayed the night at her house. But she hadn't even answered her phone the last couple of times he tried to call her. Maybe something happened to her phone? No, she would have asked Undyne to use her phone.

He felt bad about lying to Papyrus.
