EPILOGUE

After the glorious hunt for the Easter egg has been finished, all the contracts signed, and with IOI shutting down their labor camps, life continued as normal.

It was Thursday. The Oasis was shut down for the day.

The share of half a trillion dollars was divided evenly.
Well......if a quarter was more than enough to make old Ogden happy, then anyone can be.

IOI still existed. Their market share and third party supporters dropped after what the public viewed them as after their attempts of bribery and destruction for the egg. They're basically the same before and after the egg hunt, only with less popularity and no camps.

Me? I'm just chilling in my room looking at my game collection I spent a few grand on.
I was allowed to keep 1% of the sharings.

That one percent translates to five billion dollars.

My collection was nothing more than every console ever, excluding third parties. Only the main ones.

I also got almost every game ever for each console.

So in our 6 man team, I was the oldest one in terms of lifestyle.

I looked over my consoles. Which should I play?

As I was thinking, the door to my house....
Err....greenhouse....opened up revealing my friends Akihide, Shoto; Toshiro, Daito; Samantha, Art3mis; Helen, Aech; and Wade, Parzival.

I tease them a bit.
"Geez, with the Oasis shut down two days a week you guys couldn't find any place else to go? And Wade, please, not in my house."

Akihide and Toshiro both chuckle while Helen just rolls her eyes.

"You know," Helen talks, "you do have the best place out of all of us. Even if Wade is the richest of us all."

Wade and Samantha just blush was they hold hands behind their backs.

Akihide cuts in,"Yeah Y/N! You got the best place! Plus you haven't been on the Oasis these days...what's up?"

"Not because of Tuesday and Thursday, smartass," Toshiro scoffs.

"Well," I start explaining, "Ever since the hunt, and how I'm a billionaire, I've lived out life. Halliday created the Oasis as a game. Not a portal. Whether Wade got the egg or not, Nolan would receive the same message: Game Over."

"Whelp," Helen sits next to me. "What do you want to do?"

"You're asking me?"

The samurai brothers sit on a side couch. I had three.

Wade and Samantha take the other couch, still holding on to each other.

"Well......." I look in front of me and see tons of old retro consoles.

Toshiro gets up from the couch getting all excited for some reason.

"YOU HAVE THE ATARI 2600?! THAT WAS THE LAST EASTER EGG RIGHT?"

"I also have the Magnavox Odessey, the first console ever but sure. Also got a bunch of consoles no one has. I mean, after the Oasis was created, consoles were stopped. The companies like Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft now make add-ons to the Oasis 'console.'"

Akihide argues after too getting from the couch.
"NO! PLAY THE NES! LETS DO A SPEED RUN OF MARIO BROS! OR CONTRA!"

Helen just casually lays on the couch.
"Play something on the N64. The three prong controller one."

Wade: "Damn, where did you get all of this stuff? Granted people don't want this since they have the Oasis, but it's still a collectors thing."

Samantha: *sleeps on Wade's chest*

Y/N: when you're a billionaire, you can buy whatever you want

Wade: my net worth is much higher than yours

Y/N: what you do with your share?

Helen: play something on the PS4.

Toshiro: There's a bunch of retro stuff! Play that instead. How 'bout the Atari Jaguar?

Akihide: the PS4 is retro....

Wade: can't make a decision huh?

Y/N: why not RiverRaid on the Atari 2600?

Helen: Sega Saturn?

Y/N: I have it

Akihide: WiiU?

Y/N: that console was a....weird one

Toshiro: FairChild Channel F?

Y/N: you know that one?

Wade: TurboGrafx-16?

Y/N: Eh.....in the back but.....

Helen: Pick something already? I'm bored!

Y/N: Today just had to be Thursday....and you guys had to crash at my place

Helen: Sega has a good run

Wade: bored

Toshiro and Akihide: nah

Y/N: playing some Video Olympics huh? It's an Atari 2600 yet you mock me and play it on the 7800 console....And had to mess with my RF cable....my poor Sega Genesis

Helen: Thursday's suck

Y/N: you guys suck

Wade: bet you guys aren't going back to the Oasis now that Y/N has a bunch of these old consoles huh?

Toshiro: nope

Akihide: I'd give it 3 days before we try everything and get bored

Y/N: and Samantha was sleeping through the whole thing

Helen: I hate Thursdays
