FOR AS LONG AS she had tread upon earth, Quinn McCormick firmly believed that every little insignificant thing happened for a reason. This included her being kidnapped and experimented upon by the terrorist organisation HYDRA back in 1989 — because, without that having happened, she would not be where she was and would not possess the power that earned her the title of Mimic.
Over fifteen years of memory wiping, experimentation and cryostasis, Quinn's abilities began to grow and evolve into something scientists would have never thought possible; she was able to mimic or harness the power of any individual at will.
Ten years after being rescued from the clutches of HYDRA, Quinn is content with her less than normal life as an agent and secret weapon of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Under the watchful eye of Nick Fury, Quinn gained control over her power and began to piece back together memories of her life before it was turned upside down.
However, she cannot seem to shake the vision of piercing blue eyes and blood curdling screams that creep their way into her dreams at night. The screams of someone like herself who was held against their will and suffered at the hands of HYDRA; the screams of someone she had tried to save; the screams of someone who would become her greatest weakness.
