What I love most about being a writer is the power. The control.
My characters and story are mine to create and destroy.
To write is to feel like a god.
I know it sounds arrogant, but if there is a god I feel as though I can understand him or her or they.
I understand how hard it is to have to put a creation that feels like a child of mine through hell.
I know what's it's like to feel proud when one of your creations gets back on their feet despite what you've put them through.
To be a writer is to understand and question human nature and nature itself.
To be a writer is to know what life and death feels like.
To be a writer is to what love feels like despite having never felt it yourself.
To be a writer is to document humanity for the humans that have yet to be born.
Writing is creating a window into the mind.
Its expressing the truest and sometimes darkest parts of us.
To be a writer is to be an observer. To see, feel, hear, taste, and smell what's all around you and find a way to put it into words.
To write is simply to be human.
