Request from Merpskittles, Thanks for the request!

I'm one of the veterans in the game, one of the first in the manor, one of the first to play the game. I am a source of strength and hope to the other survivors. I am someone who supports them in times of need and celebrates with them in times of victory.

So to fall in love with a hunter, to fall in love with the enemy, would go against everything I fight for now.

Yet... I can't help it.

...

The siren blares into my ears just as I finish decoding the last cipher. A chilling feeling runs down my spine as I run towards the exit gate. The clicking of keys covers the sound of the whistling wind, as I see Aesop typing the password into the lock. I stand behind him, nervously looking around me when I hear uneven footsteps. I see the priestess stumble into view, the hunter right behind her.

The hunter stands tall with a perfect posture. He has pure black skin with white creeping in from his left eye. His midnight colored hair has white strands pulled back into a long flowing braid. He holds a black umbrella, poised to attack.

There's no mistaking him, he's Wu Chang, or they are Wu Chang the black and white guards, close as brothers, had their souls imbued into an umbrella where they are bound together, forever."My heart skipped a beat, his determined glance, his strong stance, his confidence.

But now is no time! I rush over to the Priestess and attempt to distract the hunter while getting him off Fiona's trail. A look of surprise crosses his face as I dash in front of him. His hard glance softens and a subtle smile appears onto his lips. He quickly switches directions and follows Aesop, who dashed from the half entered lock. I'm paralyzed for a few seconds.

Did he... spare me?

The ragged breaths of Fiona drag me back to reality and I quickly bend over her and heal her.

While exiting. I take one last glance at the mystifying man, wondering what led him to do that.

...

"That was close" Fiona sighs as I bandage up the last of her wounds. She and I were recently in a match. While we did escape, there were still wounds to be taken care of.

"Yeah..." I respond. My thoughts in a different place. Fiona abruptly rose and looked at me. She smiled at me with one eyebrow raised.

"What's wrong?" She asked, her smirk growing "A boy?"

"No, Do-" I start, then am rudely interrupted "A girl?" I let out a small snort and give her a "really?" look

"Didn't think so" She sighs "Then what?"

I nervously fidget with my fingers "Do you remember that match, from yesterday, with Wu Chang?" She looks at me confused "What about it?" She asks in a concerned manner.

"Did you see what he did?" She looks at me even more confused than before "No...?" She slowly says, becoming more concerned with each word I say.

I hesitate before I speak again, trying to choose my words carefully "I... I think he spared me" I finally say.

She starts snickering "What?" I say, slightly hurt by her response. She continues giggling then looks at me like I'm a child.

"Don't think anything of it, Emily," She calmy smiles at me "He messed up or something"

What was I thinking? I must be tired, there is no way he did it for me. Jesus Emily, pull yourself together.

Yet I still couldn't stop thinking about it.
