6:48PM
It was our last grand dinner from the hotel in this historic island. And while every other student was groaning about how fast the weekend passed and how they didn't want it to end, I was the complete opposite. These two days felt so long and its finally ending.
But I knew someone that was more discontented than everyone else about the weekend's trip ending. My best friend, Kiba.
I made a mental promise to spend more time with him.
He was just playing around with his food, staring down at his barely eaten rice. His eyes looked dejected and lost in thought. I patted his shoulder in comfort, "Let's go to our favourite ramen spot on Tuesday after school."
His eyes lit up as he looked up to me, "For real?! Awesome!" Dropping his fork and spoon in his hands, he embraced me tightly. I felt my phone vibrated in my pocket. I pulled away from the hug to check, hoping it was from a certain somebody.
And sure enough it was.
6:53PM - "Karin just sent me a photo of you and Kiba hugging. How do I block someone from messaging me? lol"
I raised my brow, diverting my eyes from my phone screen to the surrounding tables. And there Karin was, with Ino at a table not too far from us.
6:54PM - "We have wrapped up the shoot, Sai says we're departing soon. Wanna come over to check out the RV?"
I chuckled as I read his text, it was an obvious bait, for him to see me.
6:54PM - "Nah. Who cares about an RV? :o"
I snorted out loud this time, Kiba was looking at me all weirdly as he finished his dinner.
Dinner was finally ending and I excused myself from the table to go to the bathroom.
7:00PM
I sneaked out of the hotel to see a prince charming outside, waiting for me. He smiled, waving at me to come closer. I knew all of the students were still at dinner so we were safe. I ran down the stairs and into his arms. "I missed you, princess." He whispered, his voice full of contentment.
He walked me deeper into the woods, past the familiar areas and where the shoot was held at.
Replaced with the RV, of where his tent used to be. The RV was as black as his car, with automated steps leading to the inside.
Even though the RV was huge from the outside, it looked a hundred times bigger from the inside. I walking into the moving mini house, amused at everything. The floor was carpeted, paired with beautiful marble table tops and leather furniture. There was every part of a home in the RV, a kitchen, dining area, bedroom, living area and bathroom.
It was true luxury.
But it was more of a luxury just to be next to him.
7:22PM
We spent 20 minutes talking and I left before he could have the chance to 'attack' me. I dashed back into the hotel where Kiba was worriedly waiting for me in the restaurant. "Are you having a stomachache again?" He asked, concerned.
I nodded, "Yeah somewhat." We went up to the room where my best friend advised me to rest as he did the packing of our belongings back into our separate luggages. I was staring at the ceiling, glad that our trip was finally done. I caught myself daydreaming about Sasuke before I slapped myself and helped out to pack my own luggage.
As I was zipping up my luggage, my best pal hugged me from behind, laying his head on my shoulder. "I'm going to miss this." He pouted. I chuckled in response, "Don't be silly, we'll still see each other in school five days a week."
"But we're graduating soon. How am I gonna see you then?" He continued pouting even adding fake crying noises this time.
Oh, he's right. We'll be graduating soon after our final examination which is coming up next month. I'm already 18 years old, making this my last year in High school. So, next year I'll be in college huh?
Sasuke's already 21 yet he has already been making a name for himself out there in the real world. He is reaching the peak of his career. And me? I'll just be a college student.
"I know! I'll enrol the same college as you!" He joked, before his eyes dulled down, tightening his grip around me. I patted his head on shoulder, "Don't be like this. We'll always be best of friends, I promise!"
I know Kiba and I are forever friends. But on the other hand, I wish I had that much faith in Sasuke and I's relationship. Are we forever? I'm honestly not sure.
And the feeling of uncertainty scares me.
What if I have to live without him?
...
He just keeps getting further and further from me.
