You liked to sketch. You regularly went to the beach just to people watch and sketch someone that caught your eye. Today, it was a handsome man with a chiselled jaw and long curly hair. You looked from your page to him, concentrating to make your picture accurate. You looked up. He was gone. You shrugged, guess your picture was finished. "Are you an artist?" He asked from behind you. You jumped out of your skin, quickly trying to hide your sketch. He smiled at you before asking again. "Are you an artist?"
"I would like to think so. I haven't sold anything, though." He sat next to you.
"I'm an artist myself, a poet. Can I see your picture?" A blush crept to your cheeks, what would he think of you knowing you drew him? You saw a notebook in his hand and smirked. "Can I read your poem?" He hesitated for a while before nodding. You swapped books and sat in silence as you studied each other's works. His poem was beautiful:
Come my girl don't drive away
you gave my heart a place to stay
That smile like fire burning in my mind
please come back be so kind
I need you more than ever
do not let the hope die

You read it a couple of times, taking it all in. "Wow, it's gorgeous. She must be very lucky." You finally said. He looked up and blushed. "Thanks. You really have a talent, too. What do you mean by 'She must be very lucky'?"
"The girl in the poem. I would love for someone to write about me like that." He dropped his head, then looked at you. He gave a shy smile as he pushed the hair out of his face. You were starting to catch on, but wanted to hear him say it. "I don't have a girl. I do the same as you; find art to make art. I'm Jim. Won't you tell me your name?"
Months had passed and you were now living with Jim. You were both constantly sketching or writing. You had found permanent muses in each other.

I have seen quite a few of these, but they were all focused on stage Jim, but I just wanted to do one about his poetry and his mind. I am a HUGE fan of The Doors. My favourite songs are "People Are Strange' and 'Love Her Madly'. I didn't love the film, I suspect it was because I hate what happened to Jim. I will probably end up doing more older bands, so sorry if that isn't your thing.
