Fireball (Raffine/Amitie)

A Meeting Under Unlikely Circumstances

Raffine was deep in the forest, a quiet place where no one could find her. She was practicing martial arts on a tree and her aim with some rocks. No one has ever seen this place, which she liked. It was the perfect amount of solitude and peace she needed to practice her training. Water gently gushing down the nearby stream and enough birds singing in the distance to keep it peaceful.

Raffine was the chaos in this peace as she practiced kicks on her favorite, now beat and elderly, tree.

"La-ti-DA!" Raffine yelled, putting all the power she could into a kick in the tree. She bounced back and stanced up again, powering herself up for another kick.

"La-ti-"

"Hey, Raffine!" Amitie interrupted, popping out in front of the tree.

"-AHH" Raffine fell backward and held onto her leg to not hit Amitie.

"What are you doing here?! How did you find my training grounds!?" Raffine yelled, scolding her actions.

"Ah, I was just walking through the forest and thought you looked lonely..." Amitie whimpered, trying to puppy dog eye Raffine into letting her stay.

Raffine tensed her mouth and then sighed "Just try not to get in the way-"

"Well, actually, I wanted you to teach me how to kick!"

Raffine looked at Amitie bewildered and then up and down.

"You want to know how to fight?" Raffine asked, making sure she wasn't hearing nonsense. "You have Puyo to protect you, don't be so...idiotic." Raffine started to turn away from her, her hand twitching a bit. Amitie grabbed Raffines arm and pulled her towards herself, "Pleeease Raffiney~?" Amitie begged, going on her tippy toes to match Raffines height. Raffine pulled away from her "Fine! I'll help you! Just don't get so close, only people who are... "

Amitie tilted her head, "What was that last part?"

"Nothing, I'll teach you to kick If It makes you leave me alone!"

Amitie stanced up in front of the tree "Okay tree, it's time to meet your maker!"

"Oh ho ho! You call that a stance?! This is how you stance up." Amitie stepped back as Raffine bent her knees slightly and placed her left foot in front of her, spreading her legs slightly. Raffine tensed her legs up "La-ti-" She kicked the tree with all her might, rattling the old and weak tree "DA!" The tree shook, and leaves fell above the two. Raffine walked up to behind Amitie "That is how it's done." Raffine turned towards the tree, Amitie still facing her.

"That was so cool Raffine! You looked so awesome and strong as you kicked that tree! It's still shaking from how good you are!" Amitie serenaded, flowering Raffine with compliments.

Raffine turn a light pink from the compliments and smiled, "Thank you- wait, it's still shaking-?" Raffine and Amitie turned toward the old tree which was now vibrating violently. Suddenly, the base began cracking, and the timber was falling straight at them! Amitie threw her arms in front of her face and screamed.

"AMITIE!"
