Raffine couldn't stop tapping her pencil against her filled neatly to the brim notebook. Ms. Accord was finishing up her lesson, but Raffine was bored this far into class, and this close to the end of the school day. Backpacks started to zip up, and the bell rang. Raffine tightened her magical pouch, packed up her books, and slung her book bag over her shoulders. Klug glanced at her before turning towards the southern exit. She replied with a silent scoff at him and left through the northern door to go quickly home through the forest. She always saw herself as the highest tier above everyone else, and that her peers were always, and will always, be below her. While she thought this, she felt a hand grab her arm.
"Amitie! What do you want?!" Raffine said, pulling her arm away from her.
"Heya Raffine! You were walking so fast, and I wanted to join you!" Amitie replied cheerfully, smiling a toothy yet kind smile.
"Oh whatever, Amitie, I don't care about your presence." Raffine scoffed, disregarding her cheerfulness.
Amities smile lightened, but she brushed her comment off "That's the Raffine I know!" She said, wrapping her arms around Raffines arm. Raffine pulled her arm out and rubbed it "I don't- you--!! Leave me be, Amitie!" Raffine ran off, leaving Amitie behind. Amities smile dropped but then turned and noticed her two friends running at her. "Ringo! Arle!"
"Heyo, Amitie!" Ringo greeted, waving her hand.
"Sup!" Arle smiled, saluting two fingers away from her head.
Ringo tilted her head, "You okay Ami? You seem less...chipper than usual."
"I'm okay! Raffine was just playing around with me per usual." Amitie confessed, rubbing a hand on her hat.
"You gotta let her go, Amitie! She's mean to you, and I'm sure she has other mean friends she can associate with." Arle advised.
"Arles kinda being harsh but, It's true, she can be mean, and I don't want you to be sad because of her." Ringo consulted. Amitie looked back at Raffine who was far in the distance by now and tightened a grip on her hat. Maybe they're right, but I don't want to leave Raffine, I care too much about her to not try and get through to her!
Raffine rubbed her arm and rushed away from Amitie. "Ugh, what's wrong with that freak?! Why does she keep pushing and pushing to be my friend? I'm above her, I'm above everyone-!!" Suddenly, Raffines bag got caught in a tree, and she fell backward. She ripped the bag from the tree and cursed out, returning the backpack to around her shoulders. Raffine looked back at Amitie in the distance with her two friends. "Whatever," Raffine said, opening the gate into her home.
