Raffine opened the gate to her home and closed it behind her. She ran into her huge house, and her servant walked up to her, worried.
"Miss Raffine, you're all bruised up! Shall I fetch the first-aid kit?"
"Sure, thanks." Raffine sat down on the couch as her butler left. She thought of what happened with Amitie and covered her face. Her butler handed her the first-aid kit, and she ran to her room.
She slammed and locked the door behind her and then jumped into her bed and began to sob and tremble. Shoving her face into her pink pillow, she stifled her tears until the sun stopped lighting the room up. Her cuts had dried and turned to scabs by now, but that hurt nothing in comparison to what she said to Amitie. She never felt sad when she bullied Amitie, but this time her heart hurt so much. She closed her eyes tightly while tears seeped through them, coating her cheeks.
Maybe this is a side effect from my pouch! She took off her magic amplifying pouch, waited a minute, then covered her mouth and whimpered and cried more into her hand. She clutched onto her pillow and immediately thought of when Amitie was in her arms.
"Gah!" Raffine threw the pillow and turned bright pink.
"I'm not- I don't have-" Raffine covered her face and ran into the bathroom, maybe a bath would help.
Amitie was climbing up the muddy hill and threw herself up to the top. She laid down next to the shattered old and broken tree and sighed, closing her eyes. She heard incoming footsteps from a distance and stood up. She climbed over the tree remains and held her the bruised arm holding Raffines tie in her hand.
Ringo and Arle came out from the bushes, "Amitie!" They both rejoiced, hugging her.
"What happened to you?" Ringo pried.
"We were so worried!" Arle said, straightening Amities crooked and dirty hat. Amitie looked down at Raffines tie and then up at them.
I know Raffine is a good person, I know she wanted to tell me something nicer before she ran off; she just couldn't say it. I don't want them to think Raffine is a bad person, but I also want to tell the truth.
"Raffine was teaching me how to-"
"Raffine did this to you?!" Arle replied angrily.
"Wait-"
"We already can tell what happened, Amitie," Ringo said, pulling her into a hug.
"I'm sorry Ami, but sometimes...not even the worst people can change," Arle said hugging the two close. Amitie closed her eyes and felt a single tear well up.
"Maybe you're right, let's go home, you guys!" Amitie said, changing her tone to be happier. But while they walked Amitie home, she couldn't help but think of her.
I don't want to let Raffine go, I don't want to lose her. I care too much about her to say goodbye to that friendship. She saved me If she was the worst person she would've let me die. If she was the worst person, she would've left right after instead of cleaning my wounds. I like her a lot, she's my best friend...and...maybe I think of her more than that.
