The next day, we were all gathered in the living room as we planned our case. Since Irving is a lawyer, he has been organizing most of the case.
Irving: Now we have some evidence to show the judge that the girls will be safety.
Mateo: I uploaded the video that Wendy and I have in the laptop.
Irving: Good.
Irving moves his attention towards the girls.
Irving: You guys will say what happened to you during your walk with Ace. We need every detail that happened that day.
Judy and Crystal saluted to him.
Judy and Crystal: Yes, sir.
Irving: We'll be meeting in court tomorrow at 10 o'clock sharp.
His eyes motioned over everyone.
Irving: Any questions?
We all stayed silent and some shook their heads.
Chance: Alright, since we're done. We could go back to our everyday activity.
Crystal: Come on, Judy. We have to finish our homework.
Judy groans in frustration.
Judy: I hate my science homework.
Crystal: Who doesn't hate homework?
The girls chuckled at their own joke. I have to agree, who doesn't hate homework. I remember it was torture. I sat next to Chance as I rest my head on his shoulder. His arm snakes around my shoulder.
Wendy: I know we're going to win this.
Chance: No doubt about it.
His lips pressed against my forehead as I snuggled closer to him.
