Day 1 of court

I woke the girls up early to get them all ready for Day  1 of court. Yoshimitsu was in the cooking some to-go breakfast.

Yoshimitsu: Breakfast is ready.

Everyone each grabbed a piece was we were grabbing everything for the case. Irving was grabbing his suit case with his files about the girls and the accident.

Irving: Alright. I have everything ready and I'm sure with all of these important papers the girls will be staying with us.

Chance: Irving, you're our best and only lawyer, we you'll be able to help us keep our girls.

Crystal: If not, I'm gonna personally kill you.

Irving chuckled at her small taunt.

Irving: Noted.

Wendy: Alright everyone, get in the cars. We're gonna be late.

The girls rode in the back with Chance and I, while the others decided to take their own rides instead of sharing one. It probably would be easy parking if they took one car.

Judy: Maybe they should have taken one car it could have been easier to find parking.

I stared at Judy from the rear view mirror.

Wendy: Thats what I just said.

Not too long, we've reached the Court House.  The girls and Irving were seated in front of everyone.

Judy leaned next to Crystal.

Judy: I am so nervous.

Crystal: Don't worry we got Irving and he's our winning ticket of staying with the gang.

Irving reaches out and squeezes Judy's shoulder in comfort.

Irving: Relax, Judy. Everything is going to be fine and you two will be in your room doing whatever you girls do.

The three of them fist pump.

I have to admit, I'm just as nervous as Judy is. I'm worried that I might lose them both. Chance wraps his arm around me in comfort. He gives me a gentle smile.

Chance: Don't worry. We're going to win.

I smiled back at him.

Wendy: Yeah, your right-

The doors open and we all turn our heads. Franco was here with one of his men and lawyer. We glared at him as he took his seat in the front. I hope that bastard plays for what he tried to attempt.

The jury came in. That means that the judge will be here soon.

Officer: All rise for the honorable Judge.

Everyone rises and Judge enters the room and takes her seat. We were able to sit again. The Judge grabbed her files and then spoke:

Judge: Thank you all for taking the time to come. Now the case is about the custody of Crystal Luna Valentine and Judy Martin.

She turned her head to Irving.

Judge: Mr. Monroe, would you speak first please?

Irving: Of course, your honor.

Irving rises up from his seat and walks towards the center.

Irving: Ladies and gentlemen of the Jury, my clients are just innocent girls who are worried about anything that girls their age should be worried about. Homework, school, grades, friends, family, etc. They shouldn't be worried about life and death, because of that man over there...

Irving pointed at Franco.

Irving: He tried to scare them to death by a car accident.

Judge: Do you call your witness?

Irving: Yes, your honor. I call to the stand, Crystal Valentine.

Crystal went to take her seat next to the Judge.

Officer: Rise your right hand.

Crystal did.

Officer: Do you swear to tell the truth nothing but the true?

Crystal: I swear.

Irving walks up to Crystal.

Irving: Now, Ms. Valentine. Could you tell the court what happened to you and Ms. Martin when the accident happened.

Crystal: Yes, it happens like this....

Crystal told them everything that day. With every single detail. Crystal finished her say and took her seat.

Judge: Thank you, Ms. Valentine. Anything else to say, Mr. Monroe?

Irving: No, your honor.

Franco's lawyer tried to talk how his client is innocent and that other bullshit. So far the Judge heard enough for today and we will have to continue tomorrow at 8:00 sharp.

Aurora: We are so going to win this.

Irving: Hell, yeah we are.

Wendy: Lets just go home and get some rest.

Everyone: agreed.
