Day 2 of court

The next day, we're all seated in our seats as we wait for Irving to finish question Judy.

Judy: ...then the next thing I knew I woke up in a hospital room.

Irving: Of course and where was Ms. Valentine at the time?

Judy: She was still in surgery after I woke up, but she was in a coma for about a week.

Irving: Thank you, Ms. Martin.

Irving raises his hand.

Irving: No further questions, your honor.

Judy stood up and took her seat next to Crystal, giving each other a thumbs up. Franco gave the three of them a glare knowing he might lose this case. I leaned closer to Chance and whispered to him.

Wendy: He's so going down.

Chance smirked.

Chance: He so is.

Franco's lawyer stood up and began his case.

Franco's lawyer: Your honor, my client, Franco Valentine is just a man who wants his daughter back and to keep that other child safe for their so-called-caretakers.

The gang and I growled in anger. That was statement is a load of bullshit. That guys just wants Crystal for whatever reason and wants Judy out of the picture.

Franco's lawyer: I would like to call my first witness, Judy Martin.

Judy looked scared when her name was called up. Crystal place her hand on her shoulder to comfort. Judy nods at her and walks up.

Franco's lawyer: Ms. Martin. How long have you been living with the Chance Valentine and your sister, Wendy Martin?

Judy: A few months at least.

Franco's lawyer: Then where were you all this time.

Judy explains how she first lived the apartment with the two bodyguards that our parents left.

Franco's lawyer: So did your sister knew you were living alone with these guards?

Judy: Well, no not at first, but-

Franco's lawyer: No further questions, your honor!

Judy hung her head in shame and she couldn't finish her statement. She took her seat to Crystal again as Irving gives her a pat on the back.

Yoshimitsu: Can that guy really interrupt her?

Aurora: That can't be right!

Mateo: Now they're trying to make us look bad.

Ash: That asshole.

Franco's lawyer: I would like to call my next witness, Wendy Martin.

I was surprised that they called for me. I looked over at Chance. He squeezes my hand for encouragement and I squeeze back.

I took my seat next to the Judge and the officer asked me the swear.

Officer: Do you swear to tell the truth and nothing but the truth?

Wendy: I swear.

Franco's lawyer: Now, Ms. Martin. Where were you when your sister was in different custody?

Wendy: I was with Chance and the others, but I didn't know that my sisters was living in an apartment-

Franco's lawyer: So you admit that you didn't know your sisters location?

Wendy: Hey! What does this have to do with-

Franco's lawyer: And you let these two girls go on their own when the accident accord?

Wendy: Yes, but they have their phones with them and we would text them-

Franco's lawyer: No further questions, your honor!

This is bad. He's making us look bad.

Judge: I believe I've heard enough for today. We will continue this case tomorrow for the final decision.

The judge hits her gavel.

I turn to Chance. I was more afraid than ever. I can't lose my sister. I can't lose to the both of the girls.
