Emma's POV
I don't really know how to tell Cameron that I don't wanna stay here anymore. I love everybody but. With all this drama between me and Cam. It's too much. That's why I changed my mind to go on the date with him. I gotta tell him. Tonight. I texted Cameron.
*Textes*
E: Hey. Are you ready? I'm waiting on ha! I'm so excited for tonight!☺️
CD: Really?!
E: Yeah!😄 Where are you taking me?!
CD: Nope! It's a surprise! I can't tell ya that.😂😁😙
E: Oh okay! But hurry! I'm outside. You don't even need to come inside.
CD: Okay. I'll be there in 5 maybe less I was on my way home anyways.
E: Oh okay! Lol see ya then! I don't wanna keep texting you so you don't get into a wreck.
CD: Okay. Haha. C ya!
I put down my phone. And looked up in the sky. Darkness. Stars shining bright. I heard Matt come out.
"Hello there."
"Hi."
"What's wrong?"
"Thinking."
"About?"
"You. Me. Madison."
"Is everything alright?"
"I'm still thinking what's best for Madison. Her and Hayes are dating. And taking her away from him. It wouldn't be fair."
"So why don't oh just leave her here with me?"
"I don't want her to be alone when she needs another girl to guide her through things. She has no choice she's coming with."
"But what if she doesn't?"
"Matt. I said she's coming with. She has a phone. She'll be alright."
"Emma. Please. Don't go. I love you. I've always loved you. I don't think I'll survive living without you around! And Madison not being there either? I love her like she's my daughter. I care for her like that, Emma, I really do. Please. Think this over."
"Matt I-" Cameron honked the horn.
"We'll talk about this later." I said kissing his cheek and walking to the car.
"Hello beautiful."
"Hi."
"Are you ready?"
"Yup!" I looked at Matt his hands was rubbing his head.
"Is he okay?"
"Yeah." I said shaking my head.
"Let's get going. Don't wanna be late for anything you have planned!"
"Alright. Let's go." Cameron pulled out of the driveway and left. I hope wherever he's taking me, is nice. We drives for a while but we ended up at the beach.
"Here we are." Cameron took the keys out of the car and sat them in the cup holder. I got out and took my sandals off. I walked over to Cameron. He stood in the water. It was kinda awkward.
"Cameron. I gotta tell you something."
"What is it?" He turned towards me.
"Once we get back to North Carolina. I won't be leaving with you guys."
"What? So it's true?"
"What do you mean?"
"Nothing."
"No. No it's something. How'd you find out? Did one of the boys tell you?"
"Oh so all the others know except for me?!"
"I was gonna tell you tonight."
"How long have they known?"
"Only today. I told them today."
"Why are you leaving?"
"It's hard to explain. You wouldn't understand."
"I would if you tell me."
"No just leave it."
"Emma," Cameron grabbed my wrist. "Tell me now."
"Ow! Cameron let go!"
"Tell me now!"
"Cameron let go! Your hurting me!" I cried.
"Tell me now Emma! I need to know why your leaving!"
"Cameron! Please! I-" Cameron kissed me. I tried pulling away but he had a really nice grip. I finally got the strength to push him away. I went to punch him but he dodged it and I ended up punching a tree.
"Oh my god!"
"Emma. Let me look at it."
"Take me home now!" I cried. I walked to the car and jumped in the back seat. All we did the whole time was argue.
"Just leave me alone! I don't wanna talk to you ever!"
"Emma please!"
"Leave me alone Cameron!"
"Whoa! Emma. Cam what's going on?" Asked Nash.
"I don't even wanna talk right now! Just somebody please help me wrap this up!" I cried.
"What happened?"
"You fuckin touched her! You touched Emma?!" Yelled Matt.
"Matt calm down! Carter get them!"
"Why me? I'm too short!"
"Just do it! Make sure they don't fist fight!"
"Get Hayes! To help me out!"
"Fine! Hayes go help Carter!"
"Okay." Carter and Hayes pulled Matt and Cam apart. Matt and Cam were screaming at each other. Nash walked me inside to help wrap my wrist.
"Emma. What happened out there?"
"I told Cameron that I'm staying in North Carolina. He wanted to know but I didn't want to tell him. He got mad and had a tight grip on my wrist. Then he kissed me and I tried to punch him but he dodged it and I punched a tree instead."
"And you told him to drive you home."
"Yeah."
"It would probably be smart if you didn't yell at him when you got here."
"Yeah. I know. I feel bad for screaming."
"Yeah. Matt's very protective."
"I know."
"No Emma. You don't get it." Nash looked at me.
"Matt's over protective. All he ever does is talk about you. He loves being with you. He doesn't wanna lose you. He was SO worried when you went missing he didn't show a smile. Even though he wasn't there, but I knew he wasn't smiling at all. Maybe you shouldn't move."
"Why not?"
"I don't know how Matt's gonna react to it. And I actually don't wanna know. I feel like. It's gonna make myself cry just seeing Matt sad. You know how he is. He wouldn't want to hurt a fly. He's all about changing the world and filled with happiness. I don't want to see that happy little thing turn into a sad hot mess. I don't want you to move Emma. You should think this through." Nash stood up and left. I sat there thinking. Should I move? Should I stay?
