Matt's POV

A few weeks gone by and it's getting close to the North Carolina Meet and Greet. I sat on the couch. My headphones were in my ears blocking everything out. Just me. My music. And my thoughts. I saw Emma walk by dancing around. She had headphones in her ears too. The way her hair was flowing while she danced. The way her hips swayed to the beat. I'm gonna miss this Emma. Happy. Cheerful. Life changing. She's the life of the party. I love how she acts like no ones around. Dancing. Singing. She turned around and saw me laughing.

"You were here the whole time?"

"Yup! Cute dance by the way."

"Haha. Real funny." She giggled. She put her ear buds back in. She was listening to Life of the Party. Shawn. My bestfran. I got a text from my dad telling me Burnie was coming over. I got excited. I haven't seen that little mutt in a while. I got another text saying he's at the airport. So I had to go now. I got up and walked to the car. I still had my headphones in and didn't pay attention. I drove out the drive way and left.

*Emma's POV*

I was having fun dancing around listening to Shawn on my phone. Especially Life of the Party. It's kinda weird how I've been here the whole time and haven't met him. I've always been a fan of him. I started dancing around to the music. Swaying my hips around. My hair flying everywhere. I love pretending that no ones around. I was dancing through the halls and singing aloud. I saw Matt on the couch laughing at me.

"Take you shot! It might be scary! Hearts are gonna break!" I didn't care who was around. I sung my heart out. But the guys didn't care as much because they told me I sung so beautifully. I saw Matt leaving the house. So I wanted to know if he wanted to get ice cream or something.

"Hey Matt! Matt!" He wasn't answering.

"Matt! Matthew!" He just left. Huh. Wonder what his problem was. Whatever! I just put my ear buds back in and walked away. It was getting dark. That's the best part about L.A. I started walking over to the ladder the guys put up to get on the roof.

"Emma! What are you doing!" Yelled Nash.

"Getting on the roof. Why?"

"What are you gonna do up there?"

"Sit on the roof and look at the sunset. Geez Nash what's wrong with you? Your acting like I'm gonna jump off."

"Your not planning to do that. Are you?"

"No."

"Okay. Carry on."

"Okay." I laughed. I climbed up the ladder and sat on the roof. Letting my feet hang over the roof. I saw the sunset setting. Beautiful. I could see car lights glowing. Car horns honking at others. Music being blasted from different houses and clubs around. That's the definition of L.A. I heard foot steps but acted like I didn't hear since I have ear buds in. I felt licking on my neck. I turned around and saw Burnie.

"Burnie! What are you doing here boy!" I turned around and didn't see anyone. Just Burnie and me. Weird. I heard foot steps. I shook my head and petted Burnie. I missed this guy too much! Soon Burnie relaxed and laid his head on my lap. An hour later, the sun was finally gone. Nothing but L.A lights shining bright like there's no tomorrow. I grabbed Burnie and slowly walked down the ladder. I carried Burnie into the house. I didn't see anyone. Huh. I didn't see or hear anyone leave. I saw a note from Cameron:

Emma. Me and the guys went to get Chipotle for dinner. Be back soon.

P.s. Matt got Burnie from his dad. Make sure to feed him please!

-Matt

Oh okay. I walked over to the kitchen and called Burnie in to feed him.

"Hi baby! Are you hungry?" He dug in his food eating like he hasn't ate in days. He probably was hungry from the flight. I looked at the trash can. It needed to be taken out. Other than that, Burnie had to use the bathroom.
