Immortality Is Hard To Achieve Alone.. (Bellarke/The 100)

Chapter 4

Bellamy:

It had been a few days since Clarke had been kidnapped, we hadn't seen or heard anything of the Grounders since and Clarke was beginning to feel a lot better. But things between us had been a little odd recently.

Since the other day, since our kiss, I have been trying to keep my distance. I gave no explanation for our kiss, when she asked I simply told her to rest, that we needed her in camp. Why didn't I say how I feel?

But I can't speak to her now because I know she's going to want answers and to be perfectly honest, I don't know if I have any. She's beautiful, honest, determined and most importantly can see past my flaws. She accepts me for who I am and her opinions aren't changed by others, but a relationship like that can't survive down here.

Just look at Raven and Finn, they have been together forever and down here, their falling apart. That can't happen to me and Clarke.

And it can't happen to the camp.

Clarke:

"What's happening outside Jasper," I asked, I so badly wanted to go out and see the world again, instead of staring at the same four metallic walls of this drop ship.

"It's just the same as the last time you asked Clarke." Jasper sighed, changing my bandages and lying me down for what I hoped was my final day of rest. I work with medicine, I know under normal circumstances it would take over a week or so to recover. But I don't have a week to recover, I'm using vital resources and the camp is missing a leader.

Bellamy:

"She's going crazy in their man, you need to go and see her." Jasper tapped me on the shoulder and gestured for me to enter the drop ship. I took in a deep breath and walked up the ramp leading into where Clarke was staying.

"Hey princess." I smiled, waving at her as I walked in.

"The wanderer returns I see." She shrugs as I sit beside her, moving a golden lock that has fallen in front of her eyes.

"I've been busy."

"Avoiding me more like, there's nothing to do out there, so don't lie to me." Clarke really was a determined girl, I knew she wouldn't back down until I did.

"Fine."

"Fine what?" She asked sharply, her eyes staring at me, waiting for answers.

"I've been avoiding you." I admitted, "but only because I don't know what to say to you, what you want me to say." I turned to look her in the eyes, wanting her to tell me what I was supposed to say, how to make things better.

"I don't want you to say anything exactly, I just want you to tell me the truth. Why you kissed me, why you ran away and...I don't know Bellamy, I just want the truth." She cried, thumping her hands down on her bed out of frustration.

Tenderly, I placed my hand on top of hers and looked down into her confused blue eyes, "Clarke, I..."

"GUYS GET UP, COME ON WE'RE UNDER ATTACK!!" Jasper screams running into the drop ship and chucking a gun at both Bellamy and me.

"Stay here Clarke."

"Are you kidding me Belllamy, even injured she could probably kick more ass than half of us out there, we need her. We need everyone."

I raised my eyebrows at Bellamy a smug look plastered all over my face, "You heard him." I laughed.
"Fine but stay safe."

Clarke:

"Fine but stay safe."

Oh whatever Bellamy, I thought, it's them out there you should be warning not me.

I ran out of the ship to see tanned men wrapped in strange furs firing at our camp. More Grounders....great...I ran to the gates where our best shooters stood.

Men fell on both sides of the gates, blood covering the paths.

"Clarke, we aren't going to win." I turned to see a bloody Jasper with two useless guns in his hand. "We need to create a distraction."

A few moments later Jasper and half of the remaining 100 were running around the side of the camp, creating as much noise as possible. Everybody else remaining in the camp either fell, acting as though been shot or hid so that the Grounders would think we had all tried to escape camp.

I could only hope our plan would work. That everybody was safe. Especially Bellamy.
