January 5th
POV Lydia
Christmas and New Years is over, and I'm kinda glad. I don't really like those big holidays, they are boring and predicable. I like the parties that are thrown around New Years though, they are lit. The holidays also reminds me of how my family is fucked up, I of course have my mom, dad and sister but other than that it's basically nothing.

Right now it's January the 5th and I'm lying in my bed, basically just waiting for school to start again, I am a girl that loves routines and I need them to function. It's late at night too, so I'm the only one in the family awake. I'm working on my new sketch, I'm currently playing around with ideas and trying to scribble down some sort of building.

Just as I'm about to go down stairs to grab some water, I hear something on my window. I decide to ignore it, maybe it's just a branch or something. Just as I'm closing the door, I hear the sound again. I open the drapes with a sigh, thinking it's probably nothing.

Below my window I see Grayson, throwing pebbles on my window. I open the window while shaking my head with a little smile.

"What the fuck gray?" I whisper-yell with a smile and he throws a pebble at me.

"Come on, let me in" he yells and I put a finger over my mouth to shush him.

"Shut up, my family is sleeping" I explain but he just shrugs "so, are you gonna start climbing or?"

"I was thinking you could just open the front door?" He questions and I shake my head.

"If you really wanna come up, you'll have to climb" I say and giggle but Grayson doesn't look too amused.

"Alright. There's a rain gutter over there and then I'm basically up" he says and starts climbing and I only see determination in his eyes.

"If you say so" I shrug, knowing it won't be that easy. Grayson may be very athletic, but I live on the second floor. And climbing on a gutter isn't exactly an easy ride. I watch him struggle getting the right grip, but when he does it goes faster than I imagined.

"I never thought I'd do this" he pants as he climbs in through my window to where I'm standing, obviously very proud of himself.

"Do what?" I ask, there's so many things he can refer to.

"Sneak into your room in the middle of the night" he says while sitting down at my desk, spinning the chair around.

"Why?" I giggle and sit down at my bed, discreetly trying to hide my drawings from him. Not that I'm embarrassed, I just feel like that personal stuff isn't a part of our relationship.

"It's just that... You're Lydia. The school's biggest grind girl but at the same time insanely popular. I don't know, it probably sounds ridiculous but you were just so far away from my world that I didn't expect this"

"Well, destiny is a funny thing I guess" I say and there's a few seconds of silence, but then I see him going through the papers on my desk and finding all my drawings and sketches. "No, please don't look at those they're-"

"These are amazing, you never told me you could do this stuff!" He exclaims and keeps look through them, and I actually let him. I don't know why, those are highly personal but I feel like I can trust him.

"I don't really tell anyone about them" I admit and he brings up my drawing of my sister, and looks at it closely. Rather admiring it, I can tell in his eyes that he's impressed.

"Come on Lyd, this is awesome. You need to show this to someone" he says and shows me the sketch of a house I've been doing, one of my best if you ask me.

"Why do you think I wanna be an architect?" I smile and he smiles back, not letting go of my sketch.

"You really should go for it. I'd totally live in this house"

"Thank you, means a lot to hear you say that" I smile and I can feel myself lightly blush, stop it Lydia!

"Look at you, you've finally learned to take a compliment! Good, you need it"

"And what's that supposed to mean?" I question and cross my arms over my chest.

"Come on Lyd, we both know we are the same. Tiniest little compliment and we instantly think they're talking to someone else and don't take credit for it. I have an idea, let's work on it together. As soon either of us gets a compliment and replies bad to it, the other gets the right to decide what our next sex act should be" he proposes and I laugh, that sounds ridiculous but also very smart. I really need to work on taking compliments and this seems like a fun way to do it.

"I'm way better at taking compliments than you. I'm in"
