We pulled off the turnpike into the city of Portland. After swerving widly around crashed cars, we arrived in an alley behind a brick building. Jack led us up to the metal door and smashed it with the hilt of his katana. The lock snapped and Jack forced the door open.

"Jack, why are we in a gun store?" Mollie asked.

"We need weapons," Jack said, "Pick what you want."

"I can't shoot a gun!" Mollie protested.

"Don't worry, there are more than guns here," Jack said.

Haha. I thought, guns are my bread and butter. I hopped the counter and got to work. I quickly grabbed a tactical vest and tossed two others to Jack and Mollie. Jack slid his on and went to help Mollie with hers. While he was doing that, I scanned the wall for anything I liked. I grabbed a Glock 19 and shoved it into the holster on my right hip. The other side was filled by a Sig Sauer P226. I stuck a Bowie knife into the breast holster. I slung a P90 over my chest and a Mossberg 590 across my back. I grabbed the correct ammo and shells for the assorted guns. I looked over at Jack and Mollie. They were staring at me, dumbfounded.

"What?" I said, "Get to it!"

I tossed Jack two Uzis and another katana. Mollie looked around and pulled a pair of hunting knives from a shelf.

"We'll protect you Mollie," Jack said. Mollie made a face at him and looked at me. That's when a door burst open to my right.
