Good-Luck Charm

Jack is struggling with maths in school and his teacher sets him up with a student in his class to tutor him. He was not looking forward to this as his tutor doesnt like him, at least that's what he thought...

"Mr Duff, would you please stay after class" miss Jackson asked as I was packing my things from a long dreadful Maths lesson. I sigh and sat back in my seat and waited for the rest of the class to leave. What does she want? I done the work, I didn't talk. "Mr Duff" she said again. I grabbed my bag and walked up to her desk. "I'm afraid you are failing maths" she stated looking up at me. I just said silent. I already knew I was failing. I hate maths! Is so confusing. Why the f**k do they have letters and pi? "I have arranged for you to have a tutor, Alexa. You will go find her and sort out arrangements of when and where. I expect your grad up go up soon." I stood there in shock. A tutor? Alexa?! Why does it have to be Alexa? She hates me, always ignores me and brushes me off when I'm trying to be nice. "Okay miss" is all I could say because I knew arguing with her would be pointless. "You may leave" she said while pointing to the door.

I walked out of the class to see Alexa standing there waiting for me. "I'll be at your place at 5" she said avoiding eye contact, and walking away before I could say anything. "Okay" I said to myself walking to my next class.

The rest of the day was pretty normal, except I have cought Alexa looking at me a few times. That never normally happens. I decide it's nothing and ignore it.
The bell went for end of last period and I decide to wait for Alexa to see if she wanted to get started straight away. I lean against the wall outside the class and wait for her. "Hey.. Alexa? Wait up" I said running up behind her as she left the room. "What?" She said looking at the floor stopping in her tracks. "I was just wondering if you wanted to start now?" I asked hopefully. "Sure, why not" she smiled finally looking at me. I've never noticed her cute little dimples before, or her ocean blue eyes, her freckles on her nose or the red tint on her cheeks. "Umm... Jack?" She said pulling me out of thought. "Ugh, yeah sorry. Let's go then" she let out a nervous laugh and we walked out of the school.

"Are you okay? You seem tense" she asked as we walked down the street. "Yep I'm good" I gave a small smile. You see I was actually really nervous for when we got close to my house. My neighbor's dont really like me that much, they throw things at me and call me names. I didn't really want Alexa to know this but I guess she will find out...

As we walked down my road I started sweating. Great, here we go. But as we continued walking it was like a new neighborhood. Everyone smiled and waved at me. The man who usually shouts things like 'ugly prick' and 'fucked up child' smiled and walked in his house without a word. I looked around confused and walked up to my door. Hoping and praying my parents arnt home because they are just as bad as the neighbor's. To my luck it's an empty house. "Jack, are you sure your okay?" Alexa asked, worry written all over her face. "Yeah, just a little confused. Come on, let's start" I said leading her up to my room.

I was finding this really easy. The way Alexa explained everything made everything sound ready simple. Things I have never been able to understand seem like a piece of cake now.
I have no idea what's going on but I couldn't be happier. "Thank you so much Alexa, you've really helped" I said looked up and smiling at her. Her face flushed red and she looked at the ground. "You're welcome" she smiled continuing not to make eye contact. "Jack?" She said finally looking at me. "Yes" I replied. "Why are you always so nice to me when all I ever do is ignore you?" She questions looking away again. "Well because you seem cool and I want to know you better." I simply answered. "Why do you always ignore me?" I asked. "*sigh* because it's easier" she answered. "Easier?" I said confused. "Jack, you are the popular boy, everyone falls for you and I didn't want to but I did and..." I couldn't let her ramble on so I kissed her. She was shocked at first but I soon felt her lean in to it. "Alexa, I know you have no idea what I'm talking about and I promise I will explain, today has been the best day ever! Everything has changed already thank you so much" she gave me a confused look but smiled at me. "Alexa you are my Good-Luch Charm, I love you so much" I said kissing her again. "I love you too" she replied when we pulled away.
