Upheld.
I heard you didn't believe in the man from Galilee.
As exasperating as it was it helped me to believe.
Once my eyes were opened the evidence was daunting.
Profound enough, the historical reference was haunting.
While the masses obey conventional rules,
attending and conforming in worldly schools.
Indifference, a fool's fuel!
Absolving the golden rule.
Children teaching teachers
while preachers cleanse fear.
Gluttonous greed without care...
Exasperating as it sounds,
the reference is everywhere.
You've hear it said, "Where is God?"
It's hard to see when the world is dead,
or when war devastates and sadness claims.
Even harder to see when sickness lays blame.
The caretaker falls apart
when fires decimate in vain.
Sometimes we need to feel that pain.
We need to be left to our own,
out in the rain,
cold and alone;
humbled to our knees then maybe,
we'll see the man from Galilee.
The words are there on that note you hold.
They're there as this note unfolds;
and they're there, even when you loose hope...
Sometimes all we need to do is look!
