One year later,
I have to explain everything, it's a lot. I had to runaway from home for a reason. The reason almost every teenager runs away. Well, not every but it's pretty close. One of my friend's, Kai, helped me make a fake id for I could stay in a nice humble apartment.
I was a minor to be buying a place to stay, but I think that would fool someone.
It only worked for a while.
I was taking a walk home, but I came to the door, finding a short man who was the owner of the complex. He scolded me for the fake id and being a minor. I had to pack up my things, but it was a good thing that he tried to look for someone I could stay with.
He didn't find anyone, but he tried to convince me to stay with my dad. I always had to reject it, my father didn't even care that I ran away. I don't want to come him to see him drunk again. The owner had to take me to the police station for a bit, it wasn't a long time though.
They tried looking for someone to look over me, there was no one. I had to spend the night there. It was probably one of the worst experiences I have ever had. There was a pain in my heart that kept reminding me that there was no one to take care of me.
So I thought.
The next morning, everything changed.
"Wake up, Taemin!", the receptionist shook me until I woke up. My eyes opened to find a charming man smiling. He seemed really.. kind. "Taemin, this is Lee Jinki. He'll be taking care of you until someone takes you in.", the receptionist said, Jinki waving at me. I was confused on who he was and why he was taking care of me.
The car ride back, the only thing you could hear was a sweet tune coming from the car radio and a man humming along. It muted out the awkward silence in the atmosphere.
"Taemin, right? Tell me about yourself!", Jinki said, while paying attention to the road. "There's not much to say." "Cmon, I know there is."
That's the first time anyone has persuaded me to say something about myself.
"Well, I like jellyfish.", I stared at the slowly moving fluffy clouds in the sky, they almost looked like white cotton candy. "Jellyfish? That's pretty interesting. Maybe someday I could take you to the aquarium!", he softly chuckled.
"That'd be great."
I had to get along with this man if I wanted a place to stay, it won't be long anyways. Something gave me a bad feeling, the feeling of butterflies in my stomach. I can't trust this guy. What if he's just like my 'dad'? What if he's just another alcoholic trying to get in massive trouble? Looking back at Jinki, probably not.
As soon as we got there, my eyes widened wider than they could get. He wasn't just an average guy. He was rich. Damn, this is gonna be a long year. "Make yourself at home, Taemin!", Jinki said while hanging up his coat on the coat rack.
My need to steal something poked me and it was bothering. I can't do that. I tried to shake it off as best as I possibly could. I ran upstairs to what was now my room and laid down, looking up at the white ceiling. I heard a car door close outside of the (what you would call) mansion and looked out the window. It was a brunette man in a hoodie and a cap. His facial features were amazing, it's if someone can't stop looking at his charming and well sculpted face.
He caught my attention and slipped past the stairs, peeking at the brunette walking towards Jinki and giving him a warm hug. My ears immediately tuned into their conversation, they were almost perking up.
"Jinki, you said you had a guest?", the soft, not so low pitched, harmonic voice coming out of the brunette's soft lips.
Don't say I sound weird, because I know we all gaydream sometimes.
"Mhm, his name is Taemin. I don't think he'll mind meeting you- There he is!", Jinki gestured by waving at the air, sort of slapping it, at me. I didn't think anyone would've noticed me peeking at them, listening to whatever the fuck they're talking about. My shyness got in the way as I walked over to the pair.
The brunette's eyes widened as if he noticed something. Was my hair messed up? Don't tell me- He thinks I look ugly? Blind ass bit-
"I know you!", the brunette said with a gasp. What? How the fuck? He looked at my chest, scanning it and BEEP BEEP BEEP! There it was, the small jellyfish pin locked onto the neck of my shirt.
"Sorry for beating you up, but it's me! It's Jonghyun! I was with the amazingly gorgeous man and you tried to m- uhm, ask us where the gas station was.. don't you remember?", the cheek boned brunette spilled out every single detail he remembered from a year ago.
"The chubby guy?", I questioned, trying not to shake, realizing he was jacked up now, but also regretting the fact that I wanted to beat him up as well.
"Yeah, that's me!", he smiled.
well
Fuck.
