Chapter Four

Fade in:

Scene one

Int. Bing's house, evening;

Monica and Chandler are watching telly in the hall. Erica comes running downstairs.

Erica- (panicking) Mom, I can't find my denim jacket.

Monica rolls her eyes and lowers the volume of the telly. 

Monica- Which one sweetie? You have a hundreds of 'em in your closet.

Erica- My lucky denim jacket.

Erica (cont'd)-  I want to wear my lucky jacket to school. Please help me find it.

Monica looks at Chandler and sighs.

Monica- Let's go find your lucky jacket.

Doorbell rings.

Monica- Honey, can you please get the door?

Chandler- Yes I can. But I'm not gonna.(laughs and continue watching the telly.)

Monica- Fine. (To Erica) Ask Jack.

Erica- I asked him already.

Monica- Check under his bed. Remember he hid your doll there when you were 7?

Erica- Yes. I do.
Erica leaves.

Monica hurries to get the door.
There's a boy at the door.

Jerry- Good evening, Mrs. Bing.

Monica- (cheerfully) Jerry! Come inside. What are you doing here?

Jerry is carrying two bags with him and a guitar case.

Chandler- Woah! Hey, Jeremiah.

Jerry sits on a chair. He puts his bags and his guitar case on the floor. He takes out a letter from the left pocket of his jacket.

Jerry- Here, it's a letter from Papa. You both read it. I'll be over there. I have to inform Papa I have reached safely.

Jerry leaves. Chandler and Monica both read the letter. Erica and Jack come downstairs.

Erica- I found my jacket, Mom. Jack had stuffed it in a pillowcase and threw the pillow under his bed.

Jack- I did not.

Erica- Anyway, we're ready for school tomorrow.

Jerry- (to Jack and Erica) So am I.

Jack+Erica-(surprised) Jerry?

Jerry- Hey, you guys.

Jerry hugs Jack and Erica.

Monica- He's gonna stay with us until he graduates high school.

Jack- That is so great.

Erica- So good to hear that. Imma go call Emma and tell her.

Jack- I'll call Sophie.

Erica and Jack leave.

Chandler-(to Jerry) Is this how Harry Potter was dropped at the Dursley's?

Jerry- No. Haven't you read the book?

Monica- We've watched the movies. (pause)Come, let me show you your room.

Chandler- She means the cupboard under the stairs, okay?

Jerry smiles, awkwardly. He picks up his belongings and follows Monica.
