The Pro-Am Tournament:"We have a 1 v 1 situation. I don't know exactly whats going on here but Mitchell is gaining that slight advantage, building pyramids as well as the floors to give added defence to keep him going in his sky base. Lachlan needs to be very very careful not to get caught off guard. Mitchell is coming to the end of his materials so Lachlan might be in a situation where he can outshoot his builds. Now I think Mitchell may have to bounce off a jump pad, fly down and try and make a play so he can bring himself down without being shot out and receiving fall damage... Here we go, Lachlan's shredding though the structures above but oh my god, as we predicated Mitchell bounce pads down and fires his RPG. Lachlan's quick to respond by spam building around himself but Mitchell immediately begins to regain a hight advantage and fires another rocket and it's all over Mitchell get's the win!"
Lachlan's POV:
"I was so close man!" I shouted as I slammed my hands against the desk. Mitchell was sitting a row in front of me, having a million microphones rammed towards his face. I was happy for him, after all he was my brother, but part of me wished he hadn't won... anyone would have been better than my young brother! After I'd finished making up excuses to why I lost I wandered over to the ever growing crowd around Mitch.
"How does it feel to be beaten by your little brother?" He gloated.
I rolled my eyes, I knew he was never going to let this down! The crowd was still screaming and shouting, some in celebration and some in anger of the defeat. I hated to think I let my fans down but it couldn't be helped at the end of the day. Yes, I played like a bot but it was all over now. Mitch was handed a cheque and waved it around in the air, I tried to catch a glimpse at the amount but his frantic movements made it difficult. The fans eventually began to file out of the doors leaving me and the rest of the players in a more peaceful, quiet environment.
"Hey Lachy!" Fresh called.
"What's up man, you got some good kills today!" I responded.
"Meh, they were ok but I didn't make it as far as you!" He exclaimed "All us pro players eliminated each other really early on, you really should have won!"
"I blew it though! I shouldn't have let him get high ground, I played like an utter..."
"Bot." Fresh finished for me. "Yeah, I know how it feels! I've participated in so many gaming tournaments and believe me, the feeling of coming second is the worst!"
"My brother always wins everything though! This was the one game that I could actually beat him at and I threw it!" I said disappointedly.
"Just don't let this defeat get to much into your head, we're going out tonight, that'll be sure to take your mind off things!" Fresh stated.
"Yeah... I guess...."
Y/N's POV:
I slammed my pile of coursework onto the table and collapsed onto my bed, allowing the mattress to mould around my body. University was getting more and more stressful and I was struggling to keep up! My once social evenings had transformed into studying and coursework. My friends were continuously attempting to persuade me to go clubbing with them again, but I just didn't have the time anymore like I used to! Outside of university I am instagram model, promoting clothes, makeup etc. I love my job, don't get me wrong, but I did hope with my modelling career taking off I would have found the perfect boy by now... however from the state of my love life, it didn't look as though it was going to happen anytime soon.. I ferreted though my pockets to find my phone to check my recent DM's. As expected my best friend Kate had messaged me as well as various different brands and designers asking me if I'd be willing to model their products. I opened up the message from Kate.
