Kate's POV:

The frantic tidy commenced once again until the room was spotless. I started ferreting though Y/N's wardrobe, trying to pick out anything that could potentially fit me as I was quite a tall girl. A red, glittery, cocktail dress caught my eye and it appeared to be in my size as well. I spun around to ask Y/N for her opinion but she seem preoccupied in her phone...

"Y/N?" I called.

"Kate! You won't believe it!!!" Y/N squealed!

"Don't leave me waiting, spill!"

"You know them V.I.P tickets..."

"Yeah..."

"The people who sent me them also DM'd me on instagram this afternoon..."

"Go on..."

"They're not only for the youtube event... but also for the afterparty!"

"No way! Where?" I said in disbelief.

"The CQ nightclub, the one that we are going to tonight!" We both screamed and squealed in excitement!

"So... what do you think of this?" I asked as I held up the dress.

"It'll look lovely on you!"

"And these?" I pointed down at the neon green heels.

"Maybe something more like this..." she handed me a pair of flats that matched my dress. I smiled, my taste in fashion was dreadful, that's why I could always rely on Y/N to sort me out.

We both got changed into our outfits. Y/N found a stunning, black, cocktail dress witch perfectly complimented every feature on her body.

"Wow Y/N! You look gorgeous!"

"You're the gorgeous one here," she exclaimed.

"Me?! No way! Have you seen yourself! Besides looking like you you're bound to pull a guy tonight!" I stated. She smiled at me hopefully as she grabbed her clutch bag and tickets from her desk. I gathered all my belongings, rammed then into my less fancy bag and trailed behind Y/N out of the door....

"Do you think I'll actually meet a guy tonight?" She asked hopefully.

"I'd put my last dollar on it!" I replied.

Lachlan's POV:

The journey to the hotel took longer than expected due to the streets of Melbourne being so congested. However the roads here were nothing like those back at home. In Brisbane they were a lot quieter, there was still the odd traffic jam here and there but nothing as manic and busy as here. Once we arrived at the hotel the boys all came to my room to have a chat and get ready.

"So Lachlan, what's the girl situation looking like," Fresh asked.

"If I'm being honest, I haven't met the right girl yet," I replied.

"That may be because you don't leave your house anymore," Fresh accused.

"I'm sorry, I'm just always so busy."

"What you boys talking about?" Mitchell interrupted.

"Love lives," I said abruptly.

"Is little Lachy mad that his younger brother has had more action and more success than him in the past year than he has in his whole life," he gloated.

"You're a fuck boy Mitchell, I wouldn't be proud of that if I were you. Besides, there's no way on earth you're going to trick another girl into thinking you love her just so she'll have a sex with you!" I snapped.

"Lachlan, chill, don't let him get into your head," Fresh said attempting to lower the tensions. But I was too late...

"I bet I'll sleep with a girl," Mitch bargained, "and you won't."

"Are you serious?" I asked, "If anything I have a far better chance than you!"

"Wanna bet on it?"

Fresh looked at me with worry in his eyes, obviously nervous for what I was going to respond with.

"Go on then!" Fresh's jaw dropped.

"I bet $5000!" Mitch smirked.

"I'll match you, and the first person to sleep with a girl wins the lot!" I announced.

"I hope you've got a cheque book handy," he goaded. "Also just to ensure you don't play any games Lachy, you need photographic evidence of it happening otherwise it doesn't count, not that I think you'll get anywhere close to that stage anyway." He said spitefully.

"Fine it's a bet," We both extended our arms and shock on it.

"I'm going to have to beat him... play him at his own game..." I thought to myself as I opened up my suitcase to find an outfit for the night.
