Lachlan's POV:

While having a conversation with the boys my eyes were locked on the girl in the black dress. She had such a stunning figure, it was hard not to stare. I watched her leave her friends and wander towards the bar, this was my chance.

"Right boys, I'm going to make my move!" I interrupted.

"Good luck lachy!" Fresh said supportively!

I took one more glance around the room, Mitchell was still no where to be seen. I took a deep breath and began to approach the bar...

Y/N's POV

"Two glasses of wine please," I requested to the barman.

"Make that three," a voice behind me said. I spun around and standing right behind me was the hot blonde boy.

"Hey there beautiful, mind if I take a seat?" He asked.

"No not at all." Butterflies raced around inside my stomach.

"So what's your name?" He questioned.

"Oh... um...Y/N." I stumbled. "What about yours?" I asked. I already knew his name, Kate had told me but I couldn't look like a stalker so I had to ask.

"Lachlan, but you can call me Lachy," he winked.

"Pleasure to meet you Lachy!" I said, attempting to contain my excitement.

"So how old are you?" He asked.

"I'm 19, you?"

"23 but almost 24," he responded.

"Are you from around here?" I asked him.

"No I'm from Brisbane, I can tell you're a local though!" He smiled.

"How can you?" I said, puzzled.

"Your confidence gives it away!" He grinned and I giggled at his comment.

"Well I'm glad you can see that I'm confident, I wouldn't be able to do my job if I wasn't!" I stated.

"What do you do?" He asked intrigued.

"I'm a model," I said proudly.

"I'm not surprised! You've got the looks and figure for it." He complimented.

"Awww thank you!" I responded. "I'm presuming you're a gamer." I guessed.

"Yeah I am, a youtuber to be exact."

"Do you enjoy it?" I asked.

"It's just like any other job really, it has its ups and downs."

"What are the downs?"

"The main one is I barely have any free time, tonight is the first night I've been out all year!" He stated.

"No way!" I said surprised, "this is my first night out as well this year! Don't tell me your friends forced you to come out tonight as well!" I laughed.

"Oh yes they did!" He chuckled.

"Wow we have more in common than I expected," I giggled. The barman handed us our drinks so I ferreted though my bag for some money but Lachlan placed his hand on mine.

"Don't worry, drinks are on me," he smiled.

"I know this is probably really naughty of me but I have a clothing brand called 'powerbylachlan' and I'm really in need of someone to model the clothes for me..." he started.

"Right..."

"And I was wondering if you'd like to come back to my place and model a few items of clothing. Obviously I'm punching well above my weight here trying to get someone as stunning as you to model my brand but it would really help my business out!"

"Lachy thank you so much for the offer but I don't really make on the spot modelling deals, I let them all go through my management team so..."

"I'll pay you £250!" He interrupted. "For an hour of your time this evening!" I looked at him starstruck. That was the most amount of money I'd ever been offered! I couldn't image the things I could do with that amount of cash. I could pay off the remainder of my student loan dept, I could buy some more clothes, makeup etc. Was I foolish to turn down such an offer? Besides he's a big youtuber, it would give me publicity and therefore help my modelling career.

"Are you sure?" I asked nervously. "That's a lot of money!"

"Positive! I couldn't let an opportunity like this pass! So do we have a deal?"

"Yeah, sounds good!" I exclaimed. Lachlan grabbed his wine glass and held it up.

"A toast..." he began. I picked up my glass as well.

"To a lovely evening." He finished.

"To a lovely evening." I repeated as our glasses collided.

"Give me two seconds Lachy, let me just give this to my friend," I said as I grabbed the third wine glass which was still full.

"That's fine, see you in a sec!" He smiled.

I practically ran over to Kate and embraced her into a hug!

"He's perfect Kate!" I squealed.

"OMG Y/N I'm so happy for you!!!"

"Thank you so much for persuading me to come out tonight," I thanked.

"Well isn't that my job as a best friend! Now stop nattering to me and get back over to your man!" I passed her the drink and skipped back over to Lachlan.

"Hello stranger," I teased.

"I was getting worried you weren't coming back," he laughed.

"Ditch a guy as good looking as you? I'd have to be crazy!!" I announced.

"Is someone catching feelings," he teased.

"I could ask you the same thing," I laughed.

"Touché," he said playfully.

"So what's your dating history like?" He asked.

"To be honest, it's not that great. I've only ever had one boyfriend and we were dating for a good year and a half, but then he cheated on me with this other girl..." I said in a saddened tone.

"What a dick! Who does that! And to cheat on a girl as good looking and as lovely as you! He's a right idiot!" He exclaimed.

"Thanks... after that relationship I haven't really wanted another. I've been too scared of getting cheated on again and feeling the same way I did a year ago..."

"That's awful, I'm so sorry!" He attempted to comfort me.

"It's fine, anyway what about your love life, it's got to be a lot better than mine!" I said sarcastically.

"I've never actually had a 'proper' relationship. I had the odd one or two girlfriends at school but they ended after a couple of weeks. Then I got into YouTube and found myself having less and less free time so I've never really met anyone I'd want to have a relationship with. That's the main reason I've been single now for almost 5 years."

"Are you looking for a relationship?" I asked hopefully.

"Depends really, I'm waiting for the perfect girl." He explained.

"Do you think you've met her yet?"

"I think there's a good chance I probably have," he winked...
