Y/N POV:

The lights danced across the room, Kate and I wandered over to the bar to meet the rest of our friends.

"Guess who I've brought," Kate asked.

"A boy?" Lucy responded and Kate immediately shot her a glare putting the girls into absolute hysterics! Kate stepped aside to reveal me.

"OMG Y/N! I can't believe you're actually here! I never thought you'd set foot into a club again!" Maddie exclaimed and she and Lucy embraced me into a hug.

"Well girls, to make this night even more memorable look what I have..." I pulled the V.I.P tickets out of my bag and fanned them out.

"No way!" Maddie said shocked.

"Yes way!" I responded.

"How did you get hold of them! They're like $100 a ticket!" Lucy asked.

"Well let's just say if Y/N opened her mail more often we'd have more exciting surprises like this!" Kate smiled as she linked her arm between mine and I led me and the girls over to the V.I.P entrance...

"Tickets please ladies," the bouncer requested.

I handed them over and he looked at us suspiciously.

"Where did you find these?" He asked.

"Y/N is a model!" Kate said proudly, "she got sent them."

"Ohhhh so you're the model!" He said.

"Yes," I blushed.

"I can definitely see why! Look at you!" He whistled. I laughed nervously and reclaimed the tickets from his hand.

"Enjoy your night ladies," he winked. Once again the girls erupted into a fit of laughter, unable to catch their breaths.

"Only you Y/N could get the bouncer to fancy you!" Maddie giggled.

"Ewwww gross no way! He's a year above us at university and has some really dodgy friends." I laughed.

The V.I.P area was rather spacious with music filling the calm air. The DJ for the night was polishing up his board, making sure not to knock a single button or lever.

"Right then girls, the party can't start until we've got a drink in our hands and our skirts above our waists." Lucy joked.

"I'll take a drink but I'll pass with the skirt thanks," I responded playfully. We all made our way over to the bar and ordered ourselves some wine.

"I wonder when the gamers are going to get here," Kate asked.

"I'm sure they'll be here any minute!" Right on cue distant sounds of chatter gradually got louder and louder. People began flooding into the room, frantically searching for somewhere to purchase a drink.

"Let's go find a table," I suggested. The girls agreed and we managed to find a small table where we could place our belongings and drinks. Kate came over to me and covered her hand with her mouth.

"See anyone you like yet?" She whispered.

"No... but I haven't really been looking. What about you?" I whispered back.

"Well I haven't spotted anyone who has taken my fancy but I've definitely seen a boy who's your type!"

"My type! How do you know what my type is?"

"Best friends know these things! Now don't question it and peer over your left shoulder, but don't make it obvious!" She said firmly! Of course me being me I swung my head around making it blatantly obvious that I'd been told to look at something. Kate hung her head in embarrassment, attempting to make it look as though she didn't instruct me to look over. A blonde haired boy stood there chatting to a few other boys. He was definitely cute and just as Kate said he was 'my type'. Before I turned back around another blonde haired boy approached the group. He was taller than the original guy and had a more prominent physical figure. His muscles hypnotised me into a uncontrollable stare, he was even fitter than the last guy!

"Y/N! Stop staring! You're making it really obvious now!" Kate instructed.

"God sorry, I didn't realise! But I think I've spotted a nice looking guy that I'd love to speak to at some point tonight."

"Is it that boy I saw?" She asked.

"It's the taller, hotter version of him!" I exclaimed. She looked at me confused so I guestured my head towards the group of boys, she had a quick glance and turned back around.

"Now I see what you're talking about!"

"You better not be getting feelings towards my guy of interest now!" I accused!

"You've got nothing to worry about! Tonight is all about you. Celebrating you're success in modelling and you coming out for once! Tonight I'm your wing girl!" She explained.

"Don't be silly Kate! You should also get to know these guys, you never know who you might meet..."

"I'll probably end up chatting to a few guys but I doubt anything with come of it! I just want you to have the best night of your life so it will convince you to come out more!"

"If you can get the tall, blonde to speak to me... we may have a deal..." I said cheekily.

"We'll see what I can do..." she said before strutting off into the sea of people...

Lachlan's POV:

The club was packed full of people. Most of them were the gamers from this afternoon but a few were obviously people from around the area looking for a good night. Immediately, I scanned the room, looking for a group of girls I could speak to however due to the amount of people, it was hard to distinguish a group.

"Lachy, are you 100% serious about this bet with your brother," Fresh asked.

"Yeah of course!" I responded.

"You do know that your brother is in his element right now, this is basically his life!"

"Yeah and gaming is my life but he managed to beat me at that didn't he!" I snapped.

"Lachlan please don't tell me you agreed to the bet just for revenge." Fresh accused sternly.

"I'd be lying if I said no."

"It's really not worth it Lachy! Just enjoy the night! Call the bet off and just have fun..."

"And if I do that Mitch will never let it go! I have to beat him!"

"What ever you say I guess..." Fresh replied. I know he always knew best but I had to follow through on this bet. There was no turning back now...

"Do you want a drink?" I asked, attempting to relieve the tension.

"Yeah that'd be nice," he replied.

"See you in a sec then," I finished and made my way over to the bar. Lannan also had the same idea as me and was retrieving drinks for his group of friends he arrived with.

"What's up mate," I called.

"Ahhh nothing much." He responded. "I heard about the bet with your brother!"

"Hasn't everyone?" I laughed.

"But ummmm see them girls over there,"

"Oh yeah,"

"The girl in the black dress was totally eyeing you up a minute ago!"

"You're joking!" I accused.

"Nope, she really was and made it very obvious as well! Plus I want you to win this bet! I can't stand Mitchell's cockiness for any longer!"

"Tell me about it! That's the main reason I agreed to the bet and are you sure it was that chick over there?" I pointed.

"Yeah! I think you should go speak to her." He prompted.

"I'd be stupid not to," I grinned.

The bartender handed Lannan his drinks.

"Best of luck mate, I'll catch up with you a bit later," Lannan said.

"Thanks, see you around." I looked over and Mitchell had now completely disappeared from sight.

"Shit," I thought, "he's already making moves!"
