Arthur's POV

I sat in my plush chair, looking out into the smoggy air outside from my 20th story view. London was looking uninspiring today. I learned ways to resist thirst during work hours, and I'm sure Annie, my secretary, was happy about that too. Considering that she was one of the only humans that worked in my building. I turned back to my desk and looked down at our latest issue, happy with it. Our newspaper was the best in all of London, and we were proud of it. I heard a couple of light taps on the oak doors on the other side of my office.

"Come in." I said in a low growl as I took a sip from my red wine. Annie walked in.

"Hello, Mr Charles." Annie said with a curtsy and she continued, "We have a young lady requesting a work interview with you."

"Oh?"

"Yes, she says that she used to work for Hamilton's and that she would be fine to give us 'business secrets'."

I looked up from my newspaper and looked right into Annie's eyes.

"Tell her we're not interested in 'business secrets'." Annie gave a curt nod and left the room. I went to take another sip of wine, but I was interrupted by more knocking. I sighed.

"Come in." I said, cussing under my breath. Annie poked her head around the door.

"She's rather insistent that she sees you sir, please consider it?" I let out a big sigh.

"Fine." I say, "Send her in." Annie smiles and leaves. She quickly comes back with a teen with long curly brown hair and deep brown eyes. She was beautiful.

"Come over here dear. Have a seat." She walked over to me in silence and placed herself on the chair in front of my desk.

"Well, you say you used to work for our business rival, Hamilton's, is that correct?" She looked up to me with her innocent human eyes.

"Yes." She said confidently.

"Well, anything to tell us? Wait, before that, I didn't catch your name. What would it be?" I inquired. She opened her mouth to talk.
