Many years ago, there was a kingdom, ruled by a wise king and a fair queen.

One winter day, it began to snow. The queen sat sewing by the window as she began to dream, while her handmaids sewed with her.

Her lady in waiting came to see her and took notice of her.

"Why is my lady so sad?" She asked.

"Not sad." The queen said. "Just dreaming."

"About what?"

The queen looked out the window again.

"The snow is so beautiful. It makes me wish I had a child with skin as white as snow. When he is born, I'll cuddle him in my arms, teach him to dance and sing, and he'll be the most beautiful child the world as ever seen."

The lady in waiting smiled.

"That would be beautiful."

Soon, the king came in to visit his wife, the queen. But when he went to see her, she got startled and pricked her finger with the needle.

"My dearest, did I frighten you?"

"No my love, I was just dreaming."

The lady in waiting saw the queen's bleeding finger.

"Your majesty, your finger is bleeding. Put it in the snow."

The queen dipped her finger into the snow, and three drops of blood fell upon it.

"I too been having the same dream. The king told his wife. "That we might one day have a little child. With hair as black as the ebony window frame, cheeks as red as that drop of blood, and skin as white as snow."

Months passed by, and their wish was granted. A beautiful baby boy was born to the king and queen.

Sadly, the king received sad news from the midwife, and he was brought in to see his wife.

"My love, we have a baby boy."

"Yes my dearest."

"He is beautiful."

"The most beautiful boy in the world."

The queen became very sad as she looked upon her husband.

"I'm dying my love." She said. "Our son needs a mother. You must remarry. Please."

The baby was brought in and the queen held him in her arms.

"My beautiful boy. Ebony black hair, blood red cheeks, skin is white as snow."

Tears rolled from her eyes.

"Call him, Tyler Robert Joseph."

Soon after, the queen died. The king was heartbroken, along with everyone in the kingdom.
