January 1
As she sat the edge of what seemed to be the end of the world, she stared. This is an area where many would come to free their minds. She was far away from her problems, but they seems to have caught a bus and followed her to this place. As the problem lurked in the shadows of her mind, she couldn't help but notice a way out. The way to lose these feelings forever ... And still, as she sat at the edge of the continent where there was hopes that a tide so monstrous would come and save her. A tide that would wash her so far away that she would have the honor of meeting the bottomless pit. An area so dark that it would match her emotions so perfectly. She didn't know why but these emotions washed over her like the ripples did her feet.
"Mommy! Mommy! I mist you." A little voice came from a distance snapping her out off the state that she was in.
She turned to catch him in her arms before he got to close the water. "I miss you too." Yasmin squealed tickling his belly. "Did you have fun with cousin Kia?" He nodded quickly. She missed him so much but had to get her emotions together. Kia walked to pick him up as she pulled her legs out from the side of the pool.
"He just couldn't wait to see you." Kia side hugged Yasmin as they walked up to the condo. "How you feeling? I know it's been rough lately?" She placed Jameson on his feet as they entered the elevator.
"It's been okay. I know I have to get better for my baby. Losing my job and having to scrap by with what I save is a lot but I will not let the devil get to me. I'm keeping my faith." Yas smiled grabbing her baby boy's hand so he wouldn't run off as they walk outside the elevator.
"That's the spirit. So I have a surprise for you." Yasmin raised an eyebrow at her cousin because she doesn't not like surprises at all. She turn the key to her apartment and opened the door but locking it behind everyone. "I know you don't like surprises but I promise this one is going to help. Soooo you remember my boyfriend, Chris?" Giving a nod for Kia to continue. "Well, he has like a studio/hookah lounge business on the other side of town and his intern quit on him so he needed someone to help with keeping up with his books. And I know you love organizing so I thought it would be great and something you would enjoy." She smiles and squealed with so much joy.
"I don't know. That sounds like late hours and I have a responsibility with Jameson." Yasmin felt uneasy about the conditions of her opportunity. And honestly, it was more so her being away from her baby without daycare.
"Ugh bitch .. you such a downer. Here me out. Since I work from home, you can go see how it goes and I'll watch Jameson while your handling business. It's like a test trial. Please, Yas you might like it." She pleads. Kia was normally right about her liking things so she said she would try it but it would be hard for her to leave her baby, even though he was in excellent hands. "Good! Because you start tomorrow."
"Girl! I should punch you." If looks could kill then Kia would be dead because she didn't even know Yas would say yes but she was betting on it. Baby Jameson was stripped out of his clothes so he could have a bath.
Yas mind wondered thinking of what tomorrow would bring to her life. Hopefully something good.

Beep! Beep! Beep! Yas alarm went off in her night stand making her toss and turn. She did a long stretch in bed before turning it off. She sighed and planted her face in the pillow. It was 8:30 in the morning and she had to be at the studio/hookah lounge for 10:00. Chris was willing to work with her hours and allowed her to stick to the studio shift.
After mustering the strength to get out of bed, she let the shower run while she tied her bandana and slipped on a shower cap. Just before getting the shower, she went to check on JuneBug. Kia had text her that she was on the elevator. Around than 30 minutes later, her shower was completely and she quickly ate something then brushed her teeth. She pinned her hair up then she put on her business wear that consisted of: a white button down paired with a sleek burgundy pencil skirt and a pair of leopard print pumps. She kept jewelry simple with studded diamonds in both her piercings and a necklace with her initials (Y.A.C) on it. Because she wasn't a makeup person, she only applied mascara and a burgundy shade lipstick.
