"Ein!"I ran to him while the door kept banging. Micheal had gone upstairs long ago. I don't know what happened but in a flash, Ein was on the ground screaming and yelling and I was in control again. Lucinda and Zane stared after me with pity filled expressions.

"Lucy, get the door!"I shouted at her. She nodded and ran toward the door while I held Ein. Well, he was holding onto me.

Not in an intimate way, but in a way that showed he wanted comfort. Lucy finally managed to get the door open, but no one was there except the harsh cold of winter.

Ein began shivering, but we had to get out of here. I gave him my scarf, and he took it gratefully. I helped him up and we kept an arm around each other as we walked out into the cold.

Zane and Lucy walked close to each other to keep warm. "Aphmau, should we follow those footprints?"I looked to where he was pointing, at the tracks leading toward the woods.

"I think we should. But let's decide quickly, before they disappear or Micheal comes back,"Lucy agreed thoughtfully. All of our eyes were still green, but we weren't being controlled anymore. . .

"I-Its. .him. .A-Aaron. ."Ein looked in a daze as he stared at the footprints. "Are you alright to travel Ein?"I asked him, carefully adjusting my grip on him.

"Y-yeah, we need-d to find h-him. . ."He insisted. I nodded with a pitiful smile,"Just know I won't be going to your funeral if you die,".

"I didn't ex-expect you t-to,"He smiled as much as he could at my attempt of humor. Of course I didn't mean it. If not for myself, I would go for Aaron. I care about Aaron, even if he doesn't feel that way for me. The least I can do is let Aaron go.

We followed the footprints until the storm began to pick up, at which point we found a cave to rest in for a bit. Zane kept watch for wolves until he got tired and switched with someone else.

Let's hope this storm ends soon.
