Note: Hello everyone! I just wanted to announce that I will be posting on Saturdays as well from now on ^-^.
After a short minute of cussing out the half-snake in my head and I had gone over to sleep in another spot, it was a long while before I had heard the sounds of nightlife as well as the sound of a yawn and then slithering.
"Get up dog, nighttime is the only time the Orcs are distracted." Basilisk said to me as he slithered off, leaving me to quickly stretch before I trotted after him.
As we made our way through the camp, constantly having to dodge and weave through the Orcs' drinking party and pass the guards, I had soon started to smell multiple scents along with a few familiar ones.
"We're almost there, it's just through here." Basilisk whispered to me before he almost effortlessly slipped his way through a tight space between two trees.
'Darn slippery snakes.' I thought with a sigh, multiple splinters embedding themselves into my skin before I finally made it through, the sight before me shocking me completely.
All the captives, from slaves who've possibly followed the Orcs around for years, to simple workers...everyone was here and the strengthening sour scent of familiar goblins only made me hopeful to find the ones I originally came for.
"Hound!" Called out a voice, loud enough for me to hear but quiet enough so the Orcs wouldn't hear.
"Khaleesi?" I barked as the woman from earlier walked over to me along with a few other Driinkiins, a light smile coming onto her features.
"Who else would it be?" She joked before she bent down and gave me a small rub on the head.
"I'm surprised you have it, not many passes through the ruthless eyes of the Echidna...though, the passage proves your strength." She said as I chuckled lightly.
"I just barely made it through, no one ever warned me about the half-snake that would be at the end though." I snorted, Khaleesi perking her ears a little as she looked over to Basilisk with a snort.
"Ah...Basilisk, he's quite the rude man, never shows kindness or leniency towards anyone unless it benefits him but...he's the one who started this whole rebellion so he is to be respected." Khaleesi said before she got up and began to walk off.
"Come though dog, there is a bunch of goblins and wolves that wish to see you." She said as I quickly walked after her, the scents getting stronger and stronger till they were hitting my nose like a train.
And boy howdy was I glad they did...Troin, Koko, everyone! They were right here like I had hoped! Though most of them had bruises, scratches and marks on them, I was nonetheless happy to see that they were alive at the very least.
"Guys!" I giggled as I rushed over to them, tackling Torin as I rubbed my cheek against happy while everyone let out whispered chuckles.
"Get off of me Eos!" Torin laughed as he gently pushed me off before he patted my head.
"We were starting to think that you were never coming for us Beta," Koko whined as he gave me a friendly lick on the head, my already wide grin somehow widening even more as I immediately shook my head.
"I wouldn't dare! Y'all are my friends and I never abandon my friends!" I laughed as I sat down between Torin and Koko, the sudden sight of Magastri slithering onto a stump ceasing the crowd's quieted chatter.
"I'm going to be damn honest with you all. It's now or never."
