A fairly muscular rosy-pale skinned one at that. He had white tattoos covering his arms, the side of his cheeks and whose hair was a strawberry blonde where a pair of curled purple horns that resembled a ram's stood on top of his head.
"Hello?" I said.
"O-Oh! I thought a lady was here, not a-"
"Dog?" I sighed as I reverted back to my human form.
"What do you need? I need to go and appease some pissed off goblins now." I said.
The incubus gave me a charming smile.
"Ah...well, I along with the rest of my people wished to tell you...thank you. Thank you for protecting us, we would've died if we weren't saved by such a strong-willed beautiful lady." He chuckled.
I almost couldn't believe it, was this guy actually trying to hit on me? I could've easily been wrong but...that smile was telling me otherwise. But, nonetheless. I gave him a friendly smile.
"It's no problem really but I have to go." I sighed before quickly rushing off, the Incubus calling out a quick 'Good luck to you!' before I rolled my eyes.
I didn't have time for this...to be hit on by an Incubus? I may have wished to help them and even give them a home here if I could convince the village but I sure as heck wasn't looking for a relationship with one of them! I was far too busy for it anyone.
But...as I quickly approached the village's Meeting Hall, the sounds of angry people already inside, those thoughts left my mind. It was time to start something...something that could, at least I hoped, change lives.
As soon as I entered the halls, the giant room filled with dead silent goblins and wolves while a single large table sat in the center of it all, I had quickly begun to make my way to my seat. Tension rose within the room, eyes filled with hatred and distrust stared me down like I had a nasty second head growing out of me. I forced myself to ignore it all and not vent out my anger right then and there...the sooner I convinced them that there's no need for racism or prejudice, the absolute better this village and maybe even the entire land would be.
Though, the second I sat down in my chair however, it was like a bomb went off in the very room.
"How could you allow them to stay in our village Lady Eos?!"
"They have personal ties to the Beast Daemoniums!"
"You are a damn fool for allowing this!"
All of these words and a few more extreme ones left the mouths of the villagers and even more, though I was already expecting this and had already prepped myself, I was still slightly shocked to see the village get so heated about this situation.
"Let me speak!" I roared, the crowd quieting down as I let out a calming sigh and rose from my chair.
"Look, everyone, I'm trying to keep my cool as best as I can but-"
I stopped mid-sentence...should I really tell them exactly how I felt? For this entire time, I've tried to give myself an image of kindness and carefreeness but since the situation-
"What is it wench? Too afraid to speak?" Spat someone from the crowd.
That's it damn it.
"You all are a bunch of ignorant cowards." I finally spilled out, small gasps here and there rising up.
"I'm not trying to be mean in any way, I'm being honest," I said.
"Seriously you guys...we have no reason to be hostile towards the Demons! They've done nothing to us and even when the Paladins were out of sight, they still treated us respectfully!" I shouted.
