Reunited

*Frisk's POV, a couple of minutes before (Y/N) shows up*

I wandered around town, looking for Sans and Papyrus. Unfortunately, I couldn't find them anywhere.

Where did they go? I hope they're ok...

???: Why do you care so much about them? They mean nothing to us.

A voice speaks out beside me and I instantly recognize the voice.

I quickly turned around and came face-to-face with her.

Frisk: They are NOT nothing, Chara! They are my friends!

Chara just simply shakes her head at me.

Chara: Ok, so they're your friends. Big whoop. I only like them when their skulls are underneath my foot.

(A/N: Yes, Chara's the genocidal one in this story. Deal with it)

Frisk: I'm not going to let you hurt me and anybody else again! So, you might as well just leave me alone! I'm not killing anyone!

Chara: That's a shame, really. They're both weak and pathetic. No one would even miss them. You would show the underground that you're the strongest here. But no, you have to be just like everyone else. Weak and cowardly.

Frisk: JUST LEAVE ME ALONE, DEMON!!!

Chara: As you wish. But, you know I'll come back. I always do. Have fun with the organless, fleshless, pathetic things you call your "friends."

With that, Chara disappeared without a trace and I sigh to myself.

Frisk: Why is she so bent on killing things?! Not everything in life is about murder, but of course, she won't listen to me! Ugh! She's impossible to deal with!

As I was talking to myself, another voice speaks out behind me. It sounds completely different and almost...familiar.

???: Frisk...?

I turn around and nearly have a heart attack when I see who it is.

It's...him.

Dave: WHY, HELLO THERE, OLD SPORT!

*Take 2*

Frisk: (Y-Y/N)...?

(Y/N): I...I finally found you, Frisk. I was so worried and-

He doesn't get to finish as I wrap my arms around him in a hug. He responds by wrapping his arms around me almost instantly.

He doesn't say another word, as the hug explains everything to him.

Unfortunately, the reunion was cut short by Sans.

Sans: So, I see ya met each other...

We let go and look at Sans in surprise. Sans chuckles.

Sans: ...is what I would say, but it seems you two already know each other. Never would've thunked it. Anyway, my bro's looking for ya, (Y/N). Best not keep him waiting. Just continue forward and you'll see him in no time.

(Y/N) nods, says goodbye to me, and leaves. Sans then turns to me.

Sans: So, uh, kid? I heard ya talking to Chara. She still bothering you?

I sadly nod.

Sans: Well, stay strong, kiddo. Papyrus and I are here for ya. Though, I have a feeling that you just need (Y/N).

Sans gives me his signature wink and I feel my face heat up.

Sans just laughs at my expression.

Sans: Ah, I'm just joking with you, kiddo. C'mon, let's go back to our house. I have a feeling (Y/N)'s gonna be visiting soon.

We walk back to the house as I think about my reunion with (Y/N).

I feel...so much safer now. I feel like I have a chance to stand up against Chara now.

And it's all because of my best friend searching for me before finally finding me.

I'm so glad (Y/N)'s here.

I'm so glad he cares about me.

I'm so glad I'm his best friend.
