I continued forward, just like Sans told me to. Soon, I left the town and was immediately hit with a blizzard. The deeper I went in it, the more I couldn't see.
I take a moment to stop and look around. That's when Papyrus's voice came booming out of the blizzard.
Papyrus: HUMAN. ALLOW ME TO TELL YOU ABOUT SOME COMPLEX FEELINGS. FEELINGS LIKE...THE JOY OF FINDING ANOTHER PASTA LOVER. THE ADMIRATION FOR ANOTHER'S PUZZLE-SOLVING SKILLS. THE DESIRE TO HAVE A COOL, SMART PERSON THINK YOU ARE COOL. THESE FEELINGS...THEY MUST BE WHAT YOU'RE FEELING RIGHT NOW!!! I CAN HARDLY IMAGINE WHAT IT MUST BE LIKE TO FEEL THAT WAY. AFTER ALL, I AM VERY GREAT. I DON'T EVER WONDER WHAT HAVING LOTS OF FRIENDS IS LIKE. I PITY YOU...LONELY HUMAN...WORRY NOT!!! YOU SHALL BE LONELY NO LONGER! I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, WILL BE YOUR......
Papyrus stops talking all of the sudden. He finally speaks again after a couple of seconds of complete silence.
Papyrus: NO...NO, THIS IS ALL WRONG! I CAN'T BE YOUR FRIEND!!! YOU ARE A HUMAN!
Wow, speciesist much?
Papyrus: I MUST CAPTURE YOU!!! THEN, I CAN FULFILL MY LIFELONG DREAM!!! POWERFUL! POPULAR! PRESTIGIOUS!!! THAT'S PAPYRUS!!! THE NEWEST MEMBER...OF THE ROYAL GUARD!
Papyrus blocks the way. Looks like I'm going to have to get through him first if I ever want to continue forward. Though, I refuse to fight him. Papyrus takes notice of this.
Papyrus: SO YOU WON'T FIGHT...THEN, LET'S SEE IF YOU CAN HANDLE MY FABLED BLUE ATTACK!
Papyrus summons blue bones and sends them my way. Remembering what Sans said, I stay completely still.
The bones past through me harmlessly.
After the bones were gone, I suddenly felt...heavier.
A regular bone slams into me and I get hurt.
I look down at my soul and see that it's blue now.
Papyrus: YOU'RE BLUE NOW! THAT'S MY ATTACK! NYEH HEH HEH!!!

*Narrator's POV*
After getting used to your new soul, you dodged Papyrus's attacks with ease. Though, he was able to land hits on you here and there.
After Papyrus's "regular attack", you felt exhausted from all that battling.
Papyrus was no different.
Papyrus: WELL...! *huff* IT'S CLEAR...YOU CAN'T! *huff* DEFEAT ME!!! YEAH!!! I CAN SEE YOU SHAKING IN YOUR BOOTS!!! THEREFORE, I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, ELECT TO GRANT YOU PITY!
You and Papyrus spare each other and a couple of seconds after you do, the blizzard finally clears up, allowing you to see.
Papyrus: NYOO HOO HOO...I CAN'T EVEN STOP SOMEONE AS WEAK AS YOU...UNDYNE'S GOING TO BE REAL DISAPPOINTED IN ME...AGAIN. I'LL NEVER JOIN THE ROYAL GUARD...AND...MY FRIEND QUANTITY WILL REMAIN STAGNANT.
(Y/N): I'll be your friend.
Papyrus perks up and faces you.
Papyrus: REALLY!? YOU WANT TO BE FRIENDS, WITH ME??? WELL THEN...I GUESS I CAN MAKE AN ALLOWANCE FOR YOU! WHO KNEW THAT ALL I NEEDED TO MAKE PALS...WAS TO GIVE PEOPLE AWFUL PUZZLES AND THEN FIGHT THEM?? YOU TAUGHT ME A LOT, HUMAN. I HEREBY GRANT YOU PERMISSION TO PASS THROUGH! AND I'LL GIVE YOU DIRECTIONS TO THE SURFACE. CONTINUE FORWARD UNTIL YOU REACH THE END OF THE CAVERN. THEN...ONCE YOU REACH THE CAPITAL, CROSS THE BARRIER. THAT'S THE MAGICAL SEAL TRAPPING US ALL UNDERGROUND. ANYTHING CAN ENTER THROUGH IT, BUT NOTHING CAN EXIT...EXCEPT FOR SOMEONE WITH A POWERFUL SOUL. ...LIKE YOU!!! THAT'S WHY THE KING WANTS TO ACQUIRE A HUMAN. HE WANTS TO OPEN THE BARRIER WITH SOUL POWER. AND THEN US MONSTERS CAN RETURN TO THE SURFACE! OH, I ALMOST FORGOT TO TELL YOU...TO REACH THE EXIT, YOU WILL HAVE TO PASS...THROUGH THE KING'S CASTLE. THE KING OF ALL MONSTERS...HE IS...WELL...HE'S A BIG FUZZY PUSHOVER!!! EVERYBODY LOVES THAT GUY. I'M ALMOST CERTAIN IF YOU JUST SAY..."EXCUSE ME, MR DREEMURR...CAN I PLEASE GO HOME?" HE'LL GUIDE YOU RIGHT TO THE BARRIER HIMSELF! ANYWAY!!! THAT'S ENOUGH TALKING!!! I'LL BE AT HOME BEING A COOL FRIEND!!! FEEL FREE TO COME BY ANYTIME! NYEH HEH HEH HEH HEH HEH HEH!!!
After a giant monologue, Papyrus runs off behind you, most likely heading towards his house.
You decided to follow him, as you wanted to see his house and also wanted to see Frisk.
Papyrus let you inside his house and there was Frisk, sitting on the couch. She looked over to you and smiled.
Frisk: Hey, (Y/N), do you wanna go to Grillby's?
(Y/N): Erm...sure!
Papyrus: IF YOU DO GO THERE, CAN YOU SEE IF MY BROTHER IS THERE? I HAVE SOMETHING I HAVE TO TELL HIM...
Frisk: Sure, Pappy! Come on, (Y/N), let's go.
Frisk leads you to Grillby's, a local restaurant in town. You presumed Grillby was the fire guy behind the counter, cleaning a cup.
Unfortunately, you didn't find Sans there, despite Frisk saying that he's almost always here.
You both took a seat at the counter as Grillby greeted Frisk.
(Y/N): How does he know you, Frisk?
Frisk: Oh well, Sans took me here multiple times. He was the one who introduced me to Grillby. He really knows how to turn up the heat for parties.
Frisk gives you a cheeky grin while you just stare at her with an expression that can only described as one word: Why?
(Y/N): Anyway, why did you want me to come to Grillby's with you, Frisk?
Frisk blushes.
Frisk: W-well, I haven't seen you for so long and I just wanted to talk with you again...i-is that a problem...?
(Y/N): Of course not! I was just curious, that's all. I'm glad to see you again.
Frisk smiles sweetly at you.
That's when Sans decided to walk in and took a seat beside you.
Sans: heya, kiddos. you out on a date?
Your face turns red. Frisk's does as well.
Sans: heh. anyway, (Y/N), what do ya think of my bro?
(Y/N): He's a pretty cool dude, I'll admit that.
Sans: you got that right, bud. i'm glad to have a cool bro like him. he's the coolest. hey gribs, get me the usual, will ya?
Grillby nods and heads to the backroom before returning with a bottle of ketchup, giving it to Sans.
(Y/N): Pffft, you drink ketchup?
Sans: heh. hey, it tastes good, alright? don't judge me. in fact, don't judge anyone. that's my job, not yours.
You and Sans continue to chat with each other while Frisk watches you two hit it off, smiling to herself.
Unbeknownst to them, a certain demon was watching them from afar...
