Clementine's POV

After we finished eating we made our way out of the cafeteria and to the storage were our stuff was being held. Minerva was leading me and AJ through the community and telling us what and where all the important buildings are.

  Once we had our stuff, Minerva lead us to the room we would be staying in, her room. It had two beds, one bigger than the other, and a desk to the left side of the room. The small bed being pushed up against the right wall and the bigger one was pushed up against the back wall.

  Then it hit me, two beds three people, 'Well shit.' "What's the sleeping arraignment going to be?" I asked as Minerva walked to the desk. "Whatever your comfortable with, but I'm on the big bed no matter what." She said teasingly.

  She threw a smirk in my direction making me giggle. AJ being AJ went over to the small bed and laid down. "Way better than sleeping in the car." He said staring at the ceiling.

  Minerva walked back to me and handed me something before moving to a corner of the room. I was about to ask when she shrugged off her jacket and began taking off her shirt, back facing me.

  My face went red and I quickly looked back to the clothes she handed me, a white shirt , a smaller light green one, and two pairs of shorts, one black with white edges, and one all black with white draw strings.

Beckoning AJ over I began to dress him in the green shirt that was much too big for him but more comfortable, and the all black shorts tieing the draw strings so they would stay on his waist.

  I folded his clothes and told him he could go lay back down and sleep. He was about to protest but ended up yawning and nodding. Once he was laying down I began changing. I felt eyes on my back when I took off my shirt.

  Turning, I locked eyes with Minerva. I smirked and raised an eyebrow, she blushed and layed down on the bigger bed. Putting the sleeping clothes on I could tell they were made for Minerva's height.

  Then I was faced with a choice. AJ was sprawled out on the small be like a starfish, and Minerva had her back to me but was on the edge of the bed making room for me. So the bigger bed it was.

  Laying down facing Minerva we both locked eyes again. Letting my gaze travel I took in her sleeping clothes. She was wearing a very revealing black tank top and white shorts. We laid like that for a while, in silence.

  "You look cute in my clothes." She said in a whisper. I felt my face get hot and push my face into the pillow my head was on. She chuckled and I felt her shuffle a bit on the bed, "Goodnight, Clementine."

  "Goodnight Minerva." I said my voice muffled by the pillow. "Minnie." "Hm?" I lifted my face from the pillow to face her once again. "You can call me Minnie." A smile grew on my face as the small one on hers grew. "Then you can call me Clem."

This made her smile a bit wider than before. It felt nice, to make her smile. "Well then, goodnight Clem." "Goodnight Minnie." We were both still grinning like idiots as we drifted off to sleep.

Me being me, I laid awake for a while after Minnie went to sleep. I tried my best but whenever I started to sleep my nightmares would wake me. Most of the nightmares took place during my hunt for AJ, but tonight, due to Lilly's presence, I dreamt of Lee.

My eyes were closed as I lay on my back. I could feel hot tears going down my cheeks but made no move to stop them. Suddenly I felt a warm hand on my cheek. My eyes shot open and I looked over at the girl that I thought was asleep.

  Minnie had on a soft smile as she wiped tears from my cheeks. Shifting so I was once again facing her I spoke, "I thought you were asleep?" She scooted closer to me, hand still on my cheek.

  "I'm a very light sleeper." She answered in her low voice. I leaned into her hand as she continued to comfort me. "Want to talk about it?" With a nod she moved closer to me until we were only an inch or so apart.

  She continued to wipe the tears off my cheeks as I spoke. I told her how Lilly was once family, how she and Lee protected me. How her and Kenny would fight and Lee would settle them down. How seeing her made me think of Lee.

  She seemed to understand that Lee was important to me and that he was no longer with me without me outright saying it. I told her about the nightmares, how they made me relive the day Lee left my life. The worst day of my life.

  I couldn't quite understand why I felt like I could tell her but she listened anyway. She didn't need to, she could have just turned around and went back to sleep. I don't really want to question it though, because you don't question the sholder you cry on.

  Once I was done talking all that could be heard was my occasional sniffles and her soft humming. Her hand hadn't left my face the entire time, and I didn't want it to. "Sorry I didn't mean to get all emotional on you, especially when we've only known each other for a day."

  She smiled at me, easing the bad feelings that had been pushing on my shoulder. I felt lighter, "Don't worry about it, I wouldn't have offered to listen if I didn't want to help." She said before she rested her head on the top of mine.

  She pulled me close, making my head rest on her chest. It was comforting to hear her heartbeat, and it soon made me drift off to sleep. Although, this time the nightmares didn't bother me.

Ok so I know this is shorter than the last one but I have been thinking about a scene like this all day and I love it. Also writing about Clem's sad past made me emotional and now I'm sad but it be like that 🌈🌈👌👌
