𝐒𝐎, after hearing about his relationship with Remus, and being the jealous bitch she was, Elysian did the most childish thing a girl who is in love with her gay best friend could do.

She ignored Sirius and Remus.

Elysian couldn't stand the sight of the two being all lovely and cute and yadda yadda yadda.

It wounded her so much.

Don't get her wrong, she was happy for the two and still, is. They are her best friends after all! But she felt a sharp pain in her chest whenever she saw the two making out.

Elysian never understood how someone could be so down just because their crush didn't like them back.

She usually thought: 'Cry me a river, then build a bridge and get the fuck over it.'

Just like that. Very simple.

But fuck no. She wished she could punch her old self in the face. It wasn't that easy! It wasn't easy at all. Elysian would gladly apologize to all the girls she had said that to, then she totally understands them now.

Everyone knows that pain after you stubbed your toe, right? It hurt more than that even. She can't describe it, but it fucking hurts.

The more she saw them together, the angrier she got. Elysian wanted to defenestrate herself so that she didn't have to see the guys kissing the life out of each other. That's how angry she was.

She tried to whelve her anger, her jealousy, and her pain, but, as already mentioned, it wasn't that easy.

She tried to be as unnoticeable as she could be, but she should have thought better. Elysian expected Lily or at least Marlene to notice that something was off about her, but it was the most oblivious guy to walk on earth (he actually strutted, but who cares): James Fleamont Potter.

James and her were friends. They weren't that close, though. He was more of the boy next door type of friend. When her dumb ass forgot to bring her quill to class once, he gave her his own which was very nice of him.

She sometimes didn't understand what Lily had against him. Always calling him 'an arrogant toerag'. Sure, sometimes he could be arrogant. But under all that arrogant, cocky smirking, overly confident guy, was a small, cute cinnamon roll.

But Lily didn't want to believe it and Elysian couldn't care less actually. If Lily wanted to stay blind, then so be it.

Well, the aforementioned boy was a nice bloke. But it didn't change the fact that Elysian was surprised when he came out of nowhere while she was on her way to the great hall (then a girl needs her food), and just yanked her arm and dragged her into an empty classroom.

He locked the door with a quick colloportus spell before crossing his arms and giving her that infamous 'we need to talk' look.

'You know, you could have just asked if you wanted to copy off my homework. No need to be so dramatic,' she tried to joke, but immediately frowned when he wasn't laughing.

'What's wrong?'

'What?'

'Don't act dumb with me, Ely. Something is off about you.'

'Oh, really?'

'Yeah,' he narrowed his eyes, 'is it because of Sirius and Remus? is it because they're gay?──'

'The fuck.' Her eyes widened. 'No!'

'Then what is it?'

'I can't tell you. You wouldn't understand.'

'Maybe if you would tell me what it is that's been bugging you, then I could try to understand you, Ely.'

'Why do you care anyway?'

He gave her a perplexed look. 'Because we are friends. That's what friends are for. When something is bothering you, it is my job to make you feel better.'

Elysian let out a bitter laugh. 'Funny that my two best friends suck at doing that job.'

'So it is about Sirius and Remus.'

She arched her eyebrow at him. 'If I tell you what my problem is, will you keep it a secret?'

James gave her his infamous boyish smirk that Lily so 'hated'. 'I'm good at keeping secrets, Ely. I won't rat you out.'

Sighing, she told him.
