Chapter 29: Arrival of the new ops

It was a misty Tuesday morning as dokkaebi was busy setting up a mission. Stressed out, she heard a knock on the door which aggravated her even more. Turning around, her face soften whenever she saw caveira standing at the door. Dropping the documents onto the floor, she ran over to her friend and hugged her tightly as laughter could be heard amongst the two of them.

"I missed you! Don't go off running like that, I nearly set up a secret mission for you" Grace laughed while walking backwards to pick up the folder and dusting it off. Opening a file cabinet to place it back into its safe holder for now until she goes off missing. "Where did you run off this time?" Eyes still concentrated with all the different folders; she then opened the top one which was the information to the two new operators.

Nøkk and warden. Taking it out and opening them up to scan it. It wasn't until now she noticed it totally slipped her mind. They arrive today! In 10 minutes, "well I decided to go out and find some white masks, you know the rest" she chuckled as her playful face soon turned serious whenever she noticed Grace looking shocked. "What wro" she was cut off by her teammates voice which spoke excitement.

"They arrive today... in ten minutes! Fuck!" Grace dashed out the room in a blink of an eye while Taina followed after her. They ran down the hall and towards the front of the building. Just in time they see a truck pulling up. "I totally forgot. Nøkk and warden arrive." Mentioning Nøkk gave Taína a headache for some odd reason. An operator who has silent step and is able to be undetected by cameras.

In her head it sounds like vigil and herself as one whole person instead of two. The only thing that ran through her head was 'where do harry keep finding these new operators.' While she was thinking to herself, Grace was speaking out loud to the both of them about the background of the two new people. Once they heard the door open they both turned there attention towards them.

Grace was the first to walk towards them, Taina rolled her eyes and followed behind her until she now stood face to face with nøkk. "Hello, my name is Collinn warden McKinley. Part of the secret services." He offered to shake Grace's hand which she politely accepted. "Nice to meet you, I'm Grace Dokkaebi Nam. I work with the 707th SMB unit." Taína only starred at the both of them, Grace had to nudge her a bit to get her to talk, in return she growled a bit.

"Taína caveira pereira. B.O.P.E" the stubborn Portuguese women tried not to say a lot of words. She wanted to avoid long conversations, in her head it was too early to have a long conversation about who is from where and how did there life get dragged out here. "The name i-" nøkk was interrupted by Monica. "Umm sorry to interrupt but, Harry wants to see nøkk right away."

Taína began to walk away but it was stopped at Monica's voice. "He wishes to see you too... caveira" an eyebrow was raised as she huffed and made her way to his office. She already knew what this is gonna be about, she could hear the conversation itself in her head. Within 3 minutes, they arrived and walked inside where Harry was staring at a bulletin board.

When he heard the door close behind them, the male decided to turn around. "Caveira and nøkk... opposite teams. This is interesting yes yes" walking in a circle with his fingers touching one another as he was thinking to himself. Once he had collected all his words, he faced towards them. "I got it!"

"I want.. the two of you! To go head to head, test your ability's out." The expression on his face lit up with excitement. "There pretty much the same, there going to end up in a tie constantly" Dokkaebi interrupted the conversation. "What? Nonsense! It's a rare sighting that we get to experience a tie" sitting at his desk in front of his laptop.

"Let's start somewhere simple. House. You will be deployed there at 6:35 pm. So you have five hours to prepare." Taina's eyes only narrowed themselves as she walked out of his office and towards her room. Fast pace; she wanted to avoid interaction with anyone else. Nøkk walked out and bumped into another member from B.O.P.E. "Whoa. I didn't know there was more recruits in one force."

"Yea neither did I. I'm Abigail Ace Pereira" ace introduced herself to the newcomer. She heard about nøkk from buck, he was always the first to know about all the newbies. She wondered how he was the first to know, something that will always be a mystery. "Whoa, your Caveira's sister? Looking nice" her eyes roamed up and down checking her outfit out. A small chuckled escaped her lips "hehe no, I'm her daughter"

Nøkk was shocked and surprised, eyes widen as her lips formed a gap. "Well I'll leave you to whatever your doing" with that said ace turned around and headed towards her mother room and walked inside to see her putting on her face mask. Laying down on the bed as she huffed to herself trying to fall asleep. Nøkk shook herself and continued on, the thoughts ran in her head. Another caveira? Could that mean there's three of them?

Whatever the case was Nøkk grabbed hold of her gear and placed it in the corner. It wasn't much, just her shoes, gun, extra ammo, etc. Laying down in her bed, eventually falling asleep. Meanwhile, Taina was done with her face paint and cleaned her hands as she put her gloves back on and decided to redo her nails and sharpen them. Hearing the door open, her left ear twitched. Her eyes gazed up to her mirror to see her husband.

Within seconds she felt his arms wrap around her and a soft kiss on the top of her head. She couldn't hold back but place a smile on her face. "I heard what's going to happen. Are you going to be okay?" His whispers sent chills down her spine as he spoke next to her ear. "Yes. Everything will be fine. I promise" assuring him so he wouldn't be too worried about her. It was only practice what could she possible do?

Timur insisted on bringing her to bed so she could rest but Taina was stubborn until she finally agreed and headed to his room to take a little nap. Looking at her phone, she set up an alarm to wake up one hour earlier to gear up. Laying back down, she snuggled again Timur and fell into a deep sleep.
