Chapter 11.
"Come on, Blaire!" Bonnie whined in my face. "You gotta go! You have to go to the Camp Out tonight!"
I groaned in annoyance, and tried to pull away from her tight grasp on my wrist. "Can you not touch me please?"
Bonnie frowned, and let go of me. I rolled my eyes and brought my hands to my sides, looking at her blankly. It was around 6pm, and we were all sitting in the auditorium for dinner - Bonnie, Sabrina, a bunch of randoms....and Peyton. Of course, Bonnie decides to attack me with questions and complaints on why I'm not going. I would have left way back, but I really like the pizza we're having tonight.
"Bonnie," I muttered. "I'm not going, alright? Shut your face."
Sabrina chuckled. "You heard her, Bonnie. She ain't going." She was pulling the pepperoni off her pizza. Why she didn't just get a cheese slice I will never know.
Bonnie pouted. "Aw, but seriously? It's so much fun!"
"Fun doesn't concern me," I said monotone. "Go with your friends, why don't you."
"You're my friend," she said, although she looked a bit hesitant. I raised an eyebrow at her, and she gave me a small smile.
"You are," she insisted, shrugging. "Y'know, it's your first year here. You should experience all you can--"
"Yeah, yeah, whatever, shut up," I said, shaking my head as I picked up my pizza slice. Man, the smell of fresh pizza is probably the best smell in the world. Besides weed, but whatever, it's a whole different ball game. I shot Bonnie a look.
"I'm going to stuff my face with this pizza now, alright? Does anybody else have anything to say to me before I go caveman on this bitch?" I looked around the table, quirking my pierced eyebrow at everybody. Sabrina put her palms up, Peyton just remained silent, and all the random people I didn't know looked either amused or frightened.
"Okay," I shrugged, and took a bite out of the pizza. Bonnie sighed.
"Okay," she said, "So what are you planning on doing all by yourself while everyone's at the Camp Out?"
I was in the middle of chewing. "Not everyone's going," I muttered with my mouth full. "And, this is a perfect time for me to not be around people. People like you, Bonnie. Annoying needy people."
Sabrina snorted, and Peyton cracked a smile as she tucked her hair behind her ears. Bonnie blushed, and chuckled.
"I'm not annoying!" She said, and immediately everyone at the table looked at her like she was crazy. Including me. Bonnie's jaw dropped, and she slouched in her seat.
"I still think you should go," Bonnie shrugged, looking at me from under her eyelashes. "It'll be fun, seriously."
Sabrina and I exchanged looks, and I rolled my eyes as I sighed impatiently. "What exactly goes on at these stupid things anyway?"
Bonnie's face lit up. "Oh my fucking god it's so fun. Two cabins group up together, right? And we all hike down to a part in the woods that's far from the campground, and two counsellors come with us, but they're usually laid-back and chilled with everything, so they pretty much let us do what we want. There's always a fire -- sometimes even a bonfire, but that's only if we have enough wood. We set up tents and we roast marshmellows, and do crazy shit--"
