They way you talk
Serpentine twisted tongue
Have you ever loved anyone
But yourself?
Your knuckles fit perfectly in my cheeks,
And you say the purple compliments my eyes
I'd never be able to love you,
Even if I wanted to.
All the hours playing chess,
Moving forwards and backwards like a dance only we know,
There's some games I'll never be able to win.
I'd never be able to love you,
Even if you changed.
Even if your skin turned softer and your eyes whiter,
You'd still be half monster to me,
Someone with a past so dark,
Might as well have a seat in hell already waiting,
And I'd rather be punished for eternity,
For things I never did,
Than to sit by your side.
