They burst through the door, collapsing onto the floor in fits of laughter. The five other guys present in the room looked down upon the two, a suffocating atmosphere of confusion surrounded them all. They waited patiently for answers, as the two laughing messes on the floor caught their breath, sorting themselves out. They were both dripping wet, their hair clinging to their foreheads, their clothes moist from the pouring rain they had previously escaped. Glances were exchanged between the witnesses, before Yoongi shamelessly asked,
"What the fuck happened to you two?" Agreeing nods circled around the room, waiting for an answer. The two exchanged another glance, laughing again, but regaining their control quickly to answer the question.
"Who wants to explain?" Taehyung asked the youngest between laughs.
"I feel like the stalker should definitely explain his actions. Sinful!" Jungkook wheezed the ending. Namjoon shot a concerned look at Jin, the two were currently sat on Jin's bunk together, studying. They'd both noticed the abnormality of the duo, and how close they'd suddenly become. Neither of them liked it.
"HEY!" Taehyung remarked, lightly shoving Jungkook for this remark. "Don't act like you're all innocent. You're the one that wanted to lay on the floor until it rained!" Everyone in the room remained confused. Jin and Namjoon exchanged looks again, this was going in a dangerous direction.
"Fucking explain, or get a room. Damn, when did you two even get so close?" Yoongi savagely retorted, a few giggles being heard from different corners of the room. Hobi gently hit Yoongi for his rudeness. Usually the eldest in the room would scold Yoongi for such profanity, but he too was intrigued to know, so he let it slide. This one time.
"Taehyung was so in love with my music, he fell into my room." Jungkook began wheezing again. Doubling over.
"Hey, don't pin this all on me! Yeah that might've happened, but you're the one that then made me walk with you. And then made me lay on the cold fucking floor for ages to watch the stars!" Taehyung said jokingly. Most others in the room had given up by this point. They'd ask when they were in the state to answer. Most of the boys had began trying to sleep again.
Jin stood up, Namjoon knowing he was needed by his hyung. The two headed outside, gently shutting the door. They looked at each other, exchanging looks of concern.
"If this is what I think it is. There's no way it can end well." Jin explained. Namjoon nodding in agreement.
"Well, is there any way to know if it's going in that direction for certain? Maybe they're finally working through their differences. That is what we've been pushing them to do isn't it?"
"Perhaps, but part of me is inclined to believe this is a cruel twist of fate." Jin's sentence was disrupted by the bellowing sounds of laughter between Taehyung and Jungkook as newly-formed inside jokes were referenced. "I mean, who in their right mind takes a new friend stargazing? No-one. It doesn't happen." Namjoon agreed with this too. "Look, it's time for us to rest for tomorrow, but we need to figure out a solution, otherwise Taehyung is bound to get hurt. We can't be risking that. Not again." Namjoon quickly blurted out,
"Why Tae? Jungkook's the younger of the two, surely he'd be more fragile. Plus with Taehyung, when he wants to, he really can separate himself from his emotions." Jin acknowledged this but explain his remark.
"I just feel like this isn't bought on by Tae. Jungkook has a tendency to initiate short romances with people to distract him from his problems. They usually bloom this quickly." Namjoon 'ahh'-ed as he made sense of what Jin was saying. "Anyways, as I was saying, I think it's time we rest."
Whilst the two were discussing outside, Jungkook hopped over to his bottom bunk bed, grabbing a previously discarded towel and rubbing his hair, as Taehyung opted to go into the bathroom. Just as he attempted to close the door, a small figure squeezed through the gap, entering with him. Jimin proceeded to lock the two in the room, dragging him to the other side. He whispered in a low tone.
"Yo what the hell! Tell me everything. Now!"
"There's not much to tell Jiminie. We just hung out a bit and got to know each other. He's not actually as bad as I thought he was. I really enjoyed tonight." Taehyung's cheeks involuntarily heated up, going a faint shade of pink. Jimin screeched, Taehyung's hand quickly darting to cover his mouth.
"Just shut up! It's normal for guys to become friends okay. Chill." Taehyung automatically retaliated. He turned to rub his hair with a towel to dry it, before Jimin let himself out, chuckling to himself. From there, Taehyung tried to go about his normal routine, brushing his teeth and cleaning his face, however the same idea and worry played on his mind the whole time.
Was this normal? No. Yeah. No. I don't know!
He eventually shrugged it off as normal. Trying to cast the idea off of his mind, so he could rest. Just as he pulled the heavy door open, Jungkook also pushed it, falling into the room. Taehyung and Jungkook looked at each other before Taehyung remarked.
"....deja vu" Jungkook giggled at this comment. He had a cute laugh, Taehyung couldn't deny it. Hearing the beautiful sound filling the air around him, he began to doubt himself again. Maybe this wasn't normal. He squeezed past Jungkook, stopping behind him. Sharing a warm smile, Taehyung said,
"I had fun tonight."
"Me too." Jungkook replied, not turning around because of the redness building in his face. With that, their interactions ended, as Taehyung headed to bed, a small smile playing on his face.
A/N:
Don't come @ me for the chapter title. I couldn't think of a good one. I called it that cause oxymoron tends to refer to two opposing words or things that shouldn't go together but in that case they're together. Deep, yk.
