"There is someone here," Chloe alerted us as Kamski began his laps around the pool, the painting he bought from Carl a couple of days ago was already installed in the room.

"Who is it?" Kamski questioned as he finished one lap.

"Looks like a prototype android RK800 and Hank Anderson," Chloe told us and my ear perked at the familiar names.

"I know them, Hank is an officer of some sort and the RK800 is named Connor," I told them what I knew which wasn't very much at all.

"They must be investigating the deviant androids, it's the only reason." Kamski put it together and I growled, there were deviants here.

"Tell me Dabria, does Connor have the potential of becoming deviant?" Kamski questioned me and I thought back of the times I have seen Connor, he does have minor symptoms of being a deviant.

"Yes, he just needs a push."

"That's all I need, Chloe open the door, Dabria, hide," Kamski demanded us and we did as we were told, I hid behind the chair in the room and stayed silent.

"I'm Lieutenant Anderson. This is Connor." I recognized Hanks voice as he introduced themselves.

"What can I do for you, Lieutenant?" Elijah asked politely, however his voice told me he had other intentions.

"Sir, we're investigating deviants, I know you left CyberLife years go but, I was hoping you'd be able to tell us something we don't know."

"Deviants... Fascinating, aren't they? Perfect being with infinite intelligence and now they have free will. Machines are so superior to us, confrontation was inevitable. Humanity's greatest achievement threatens to be its downfall. Isn't it ironic?" Kamksi chuckled at the situation they were in.

"Something in the deviants' program seems to emulate emotion. We thought you might know something about how that occurs," Connor questioned Elijah going straight to the point for the sake of his mission.

"All ideas are viruses that spread like epidemics, is the desire to be free a contagious disease?" Kamski avoided the question with another question, something he did quite often.

"Listen, I didn't come here to talk philosophy. The machines you created may be planning a revolution. Either you can tell us something that'll be helpful or we will be on our way," Hank threatened but Elijah wasn't going to let them leave so early.

"What about you, Connor? Who's side are you on?" Kamski asked hitting the target head-on.

"It's not about me, Kamski, all I want is to solve this case," Connor avoided the question defensively.

"Well, that's what you're programmed to say. But you? What do you really want?" Elijah dug further into Connor taking what I said earlier seriously.

"I don't want anything, I am a machine," Connor answered simply and I felt bad for the boy, he was just following his coding.

"Chloe?" Kamski ordered her over and I tensed up. " I'm sure you are familiar with the Turing test? Mere formality. Simple question of algorithms and computing capacity. What interest me is whether machines are capable of empathy. I call it "The Kamski test" it's very simple, you'll see. Magnificent isn't it? One of the first intelligent models developed by CyberLife. Young and beautiful forever, a flower that will never wither. But what is it really? A robot imitating a human? Or a living being with a soul?" Kamski referred to the original Chloe, marveling at her beauty.

"It's up to you to answer that fascinating question Connor. Destroy this machine and I'll tell you all I know. Or spare it if you feel it's alive. But you'll leave here without learning a thing from me." Kamski gave the gun to Connor and made the android aim it to her head.

"Okay, I think we are done here. Come on, Connor. Let's go. Sorry to get you outta your pool" Hank tried to retreat and get out but Kamski was stubborn.

"What's more important to you, Connor? Your investigation, or the life of this android? Decide who you are. An obedient machine, or a living being, endowed with free will." Kamski had his own gun on Connor's head, not a physical one but rather with his words.

"That's enough! Connor, we're leaving." Hank ordered Connor but it wasn't that easy.

"Pull the trigger!" Kamski ordered and I had to keep myself from growling, that was a bold move.

"Connor, Don't."

"And I'll tell you what you wanna know."

Connor stopped for a second, his LED was yellow as he thought about the decision, thankfully he gave the gun back to Kamski.

"Fascinating. CyberLife's last chance to save humanity is itself a deviant."

"I'm... I'm not a deviant." There was a desperate tone to his voice, he sounded lost.

" You preferred to spare a machine rather than accomplish your mission. You saw a living being in this android. You showed empathy. A war is coming, you'll have to choose your side. Will you betray your own people or stand up against your creators? What could be worse than having to choose between two evils?" Kamski words reached through Connor as they stared at each other.

"Let's get outta here," Hank said as he gripped Connor's arm tightly, pulling him away.

"By the way, I always leave an emergency exit in my programs You never know." Those were Elijah's final words to Connor.

The door closed and I ran up to Kamski and growled at him, to say I was mad is an understatement. Chloe got up from her knees and slapped Eliah so hard it made him take a step back.

"Ow! The bullets are fake!" Elijah told us as he held his cheek, Chloe got the gun and threw it at him, she was understandably madder than I was.
