Family Members and Michael's Escape

Its been a month since Demi entered a coma and she hasn't wakened up. The baby is doing well though. Demi was three months pregnant according to the doctors. Miley and Nick kept a close eye on her while everyone watched Michael and the house.

Kevin decided to invite his in-laws, Demi's sisters and Selena's sister Gracie over to see Michael and make him feel better.

"Daddy, daddy get up!" Said Alena. "Yes, Alena Rose," said Kevin. "We want to make breakfast for Mikey." Said Valentina. "Good idea girls." Said Danielle.

They got up made Michael breakfast which was eggs, sausage, and a muffin. Kevin took breakfast to Michael's room. "Hey Mike, its Kevin, I just left breakfast in front of your door mostly made by your sisters. Please remember that family is coming over today and it would be lovely to see you." Kevin puts the breakfast down and leaves.

One hour later, the Deleasa's, Gracie, Madison, and Dallas were in the house. Selena saw her sister and gave her a hug. "Gracie! I haven't seen you guys for a while!" Selena said laughing." Hey, Sel, how are you and the baby?" Gracie asked her older sister. "I'm great and the baby's doing great, thanks for coming, now, come to the backyard." Said Selena. "Once you called and said about Michael, we couldn't resist." Said Dallas giving Selena a hug. They all went to the backyard. Once they got there, it was all hugs, especially with Michael.

Everyone was having a good time. "Hey, want to have a basketball challenge?" Asked Mike, Danielle's brother. "Oh, you're on, but we need two other people. Joe, Nick come here," said Kevin. Nick was with Mike and Joe with Kevin. Two rounds went by Kevin and Joe won. "Food!!" yelled Miley. They ran to the table to eat.

Michael was just looking off the distance, says "It's my fault."

"What? It's not your fault."

"Yes, it is bad. If I would've taken care of mom better, we wouldn't be here."

"It's not your fault, it's the fault of that drunk driver and her choices, but not yours." Kevin leaves. Michael starts crying, Alena and Valentina got up and hugged him.

Everyone goes to sleep at around 10 pm, but Michael stays up to do things before he runs away. He sits on his bed and starts thinking about who would be affected by this. His parents and his sisters. He wanted to run away because he caused too much danger to anyone. He doesn't want to hurt anyone anymore. Michael grabs a backpack, puts his black hoodie on and grabs snacks and water to put in his backpack. He goes to the girl's room quietly. He looked at Alena and touches her bangs. She moved a little and tried to wake up, but Michael says "No, no, no stay asleep." Kisses her forehead and goes to Valentina. Takes off his gold chain and puts around her neck.

At 12 am, Michael left the house. The next morning, Alena and Valentina were early birds. Valentina noticed the gold chain. Both girls ran to Michael's room. He's not there. Alena and Valentina went downstairs to look for Kevin and Danielle. Kevin was in the kitchen "Dad, we can't find Mikey. He left us his gold chain." "WHAT?!?!" yelled Kevin. Danielle comes in. "What's going on?" asked Danielle. "Michael left," said Alena. "He left us gold chain," said Valentina.

Danielle starts to cry "My poor step-son" Everyone else wakes up and goes downstairs. "What's going on?" Nick asked. "Michael left"

"What? Why?"

"He thinks that Demi's coma is his fault."

"Why don't we look for him. I know where some of his friends live. They might know where he is." Bryan said as he stood up. "Why not." Said Mikayla. Bryan left and went to see Michael's friends' houses.

M-Anything?

B-Nope, he is nowhere to be found

M- Oh ok

B- Bye

She hangs up. They searched in lots of places but no signs of him. It was time for bed. Everyone is asleep minus, Kevin. "Oh god, hopefully, we find him, I miss him." Said Kevin.

The next day, Miley and Nick call the family down. "Well, since we couldn't find him near here. We are going to check where Maddie and Dallas live, which is a two-hour trip. Kevin and Danielle can stay." Said, Miley. "Pack overnight clothes, we are staying there one night." Said Nick. No one talked on the way there. They got there and Michael wasn't there either. Selena couldn't sleep that night.

Back at home, Kevin and Danielle woke up and ate breakfast. "Anyone checked the park?" Asked Kevin. "No why?" Asked Danielle. "Just asking," said Kevin.

They went to the park, Kevin says "I might know where he is." They ran through the forest then they found the tree that they craved 'Demi, Kevin' They passed the tree to a special place which was a rough path to get to the lake to find him against a tree.

Kevin and Danielle sit on both sides of Michael. They give him a hug."We found you." Said Danielle. "Why? I'm horrible." Said, Michael. "No, you're not. It's not your fault, trust me and you're a good son." Said Kevin."Please, just stop what you're thinking." Said Danielle. She hugs him again. He cries. "Look, we love you and we don't want you thinking that." Said Kevin.

Michael puts a small smile. "Thanks, are you two only?" Asked Michael. "Yes," Said Kevin "But we check with them later. We want to spend time with you now." Said Danielle.

"Your mother and I always came here since its behind trees and near a lake." Said Kevin. "You guys always came here to talk and get away from family. Mom told me." Said, Michael. "Wow, I remember the last time we were here. It was our second last date." Said Kevin. "Long time, your names still carved in the tree." Said, Michael.

"But to tell you the truth, I want to be the best father for you and your sisters." Said Kevin. "Aww," said Danielle. "Really do." Said Kevin. They spent three hours there then they went to the car.

They got home, Michael fell asleep in the recliner. Two hours later, the family comes home. They get all quiet when they saw Michael sleeping.

Everyone turns to him, wakes him up and hugs him. He asks about Demi. "She's progressing, but she hasn't woke up yet." Said Nick. "We miss you so much." Said Selena. "I know," said Michael. So the family takes a nap since it been a long day for them. Kevin and Michael are still awake. "Michael, I want to take you back to the special place." Said Kevin. "Ok," said Michael.

They go back to the park to their special place. "I want to give you something, I thought our special place would be a perfect place to give it to you." Said Kevin placing something in Michael's hand. "Only showing you because I trust you and I love you." Said Kevin. Michael opens his hand and saw a ring "A purity ring." Said, Michael. "It was my purity ring, but I broke it with your mother, so I don't want you to do the same mistakes." Said Kevin. "I promise and thanks." Said, Michael.

Two weeks later, everyone goes to the hospital. Everyone enters the room talks to Demi. The last people were Michael and Kevin. Michael didn't want to, but Kevin pushes him. "Come on, you can do it." Says Kevin. "I can't." Said, Michael.

They're at the doorway, Kevin gives him a final push then he's in then Kevin walks in. "I'm sorry mom."

"Remember, It wasn't your fault," Kevin says.

Michael nods, he and Kevin stayed in the hospital for two more hours. When they got home, they found Danielle and Selena talking.

They just walked up to Michael. "You're the best big brother, son, and nephew ever and no one can change that." Said Selena as she gave him a tight hug. Kevin and Danielle shrugged and joined the hug, then Joe and Bryan then Miley, Nick, Mikayla then Alena, and Valentina.
