Steve P.O.V.

"Nat, do you copy?" I asked into the com, again, the fifth time. "She still isn't answering, where the hell did she go?" I asked Bucky. She had been right above us the entire time, and when we fought the men, she just disappeared. I ripped the vent off and poked my head up, "there is no way you or I is getting up here."

"Well, lets go after Ivan, I'm sure she did the same thing. We'll find her there... we know she's okay," Bucky came over, walking with his back to me as to keep a vigilant watch on my six.

"We know she's okay?" I asked, a little enraged that this was his idea of calming me down, just going on a whim and telling me she was okay, my feelings showed in my tones.

"Well, ya, her location isn't pinging in anymore, but her vitals are still up, she's a little amped up wherever she is, but otherwise she seems fine," Bucky explained as he showed me a screen. On it, I saw three pictures, one of each of us. Bucky's heart seemed to be beating at a normal rate... and at this point, my heart rate was far higher than Nat's. "Yup, she'd good... better than you, like always."

"Alright, you take left and I'll take right... com if you need me, and com me the second you find Nat," I ordered as we broke off from each other.

Nat P.O.V.

He stood up, keeping the gun steadily trained on me. He moved so that the gun was firmly pressing right into my stomach. "I could kill you, right here and right now... what do you have to say to that?"

I kept my mouth shut, not that I could speak anyway, given the state the dead man on the floor put me in. Instead, I spit in his face, right into his eye. He jumped in surprise at my action, pushing the gun harder into my abdomen, right on my diaphram, making it harder to breath.

"Foolish girl, foolish..." he began to mutter, his finger trembling on the trigger. "I could have used you... in such a better way then Fury ever could have. You're loyal to a fault, and you would run until your heart stopped."

I cocked my head, and raised my eyebrow at him, daring him to try anything. I slowly placed my hands on his, gentle as to not spook him into pulling the trigger, and pushed it further into me. "Why? Why would you have been so perfect?" He cursed.

The door opened, suddenly, startling Ivan... right into pulling the trigger. I felt myself collapse forward onto him, and for some reason he caught me. "Ah, my other masterpiece."

My body was in shock and hadn't told my brain how much pain my body should be in. I turned my head to see a raging super soldier with a metal arm. Ivan's lips gently brushed against my ear, "don't worry," he whispered to me, "this will all be over soon." I was trying to think about what he was saying, but my head was swimming, and my thoughts were further cut off by a shout.

"WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER?!" He roared as he ran at Ivan, who responded quickly despite his size. He grabbed me around the neck and pointed a pistol into my temple. He was looking dead at Ivan with the look a lion gives its prey right before it kills. He put a hand to his earpiece, Ivan rattled me like a doll and pushed the gun further in my head.

"Don't contact the other one," Ivan snapped, Bucky slowly put his hands up in surrender.

"Nat, you okay?" Bucky asked, not taking his death glare off of Ivan, but I didn't reply, not that I could. "Nat? Talk to me," he asked, his tone showing his fear and stress. I grunted, and wheezed a bit, still not able to talk, "NAT?!" He barked, now looking at me, panic in his eyes, all I could do was nod, the best communication I could give him. He gave me a very concerned look, but moved his gave back to Ivan.

"You two would have made my dreams real, you two would have changed the world... if only you allied yourself with me," he mused, closing his eyes like he was dreaming. In that moment, I started to feel the pain, the shock wearing off now, the bullet actually starting to feel real. That's when I noticed the blonde man coming up behind the super soldier, a very angry super soldier.

His face was flushed red, flashing between fear and anger. His eyes fell onto my abdomen, bleeding heavily at this point. His hands balled into fists as he leveled his gaze to Ivan, pure rage.

"Ahh, the man who ruined it all..." Ivan addressed Steve, still in this whimsical voice, dreaming of a world not obtained. This wasn't Ivan's style... my brain started to run quickly. He was stalling, but for what? More agents? No... I listened... and just barely audible was a small beeping and a faint hum, coming from the floor.

I began to open my mouth, trying to warn Bucky and Steve that this place was going to blow, but all I could do was flail my lips. Bucky was having tunnel vision on Ivan, but Steve noticed. He raised an eyebrow, full of concern, but he noticed and that was enough. I began to mouth words, but he just cocked his head to the side, not understanding.

Time was running out, it was getting too close to call. I began to struggle in his arms, trying to get out, but he just tightened his grip, but he moved the gun... he moved it from my head and shoved it into my abdomen, the force of the pain overwhelming. Both Steve and Bucky took a step forward, but stopped given my position. I had had enough, and I decided to risk it all. I went limp on him, to which gentled his grip, but didn't help me out as much as I planned.

I leaned my head down, and bit him in the arm, sadly the gun arm... earning another bullet into the stomach. I would have screamed out now, but my vocal cords were taking a break on me. "NAT!" Steve screamed, but it didn't do anything to help me. I swung around for momentum and roundhouse kicked him square in the jaw. It knocked him out, and Steve was immediately there to grab me as my balance faltered, the lack of blood making me dizzy.

"Steve... look at her neck," Bucky pointed as he walked over, gently moving my head up, earning a grimace.

"Careful," Steve quickly warned, slapping his hand away.

"Steve, looks like she got a nasty hit to the neck... I don't think she can talk..." Buck explained.

"Nat?" Steve asked, I nodded in conformation, which hurt my neck, but I held in the grimace for Steve's sake. I began to struggle up, but Steve held me down, "Nat, stay down, you've been shot in the stomach, twice, stay down." Despite his protest, I continued on anyway, I needed to communicate with him, and I saw paper and pen on Ivan's desk.

Steve held me down, gently, but enough for me not to be able to move. However, Bucky saw my eye line and grabbed the writing utensils. "Here," he said as he placed it into my hand and let me use his leg as a stable surface.

I wrote with a shaky hand, 'this place is rigged to blow, run!' The two of them read it, despite all the blood staining, and shared a nervous glance with each other. Steve held me tightly as they both bolted up and began to run, fast.
