"Something needs to be done with Jeffery. I stated. Jackson frowned, "What did he do this time?" There was a hint of annoyance in his voice. "He's been going to the Infirmary claiming he was sick, but after tests, nothing was wrong with him. Doctor Rebecca thinks Jeffery is trying to get out of doing his assignments." I explained. Jackson sighed in annoyance, clearly done with Jeffery's crap. "Send him to my office after you get this week's assignment schedule." Jackson stated bluntly. I gave him a small nod.
I jumped at the sound of the tubes. Jackson chuckled, "You got mail." I chuckled along. I got up and grabbed the cylinder, opening it. I grabbed the papers and glanced over them. "What is it?" Jackson asked. "A copy of today's assignments." I answered, skimming through the pages. "It seems that everyone has finished." I mumbled. "How about Jeffery? Did he do his assignments?" Jackson asked, cocking his eyebrow. I skimmed through the assignments, stopping when I saw Jeffery's name. "No." I said bluntly and unsurprised. Jackson sighed, also unsurprised. "Get him here." He ordered. "Jeffery, get to my office, now! I know you can hear me." I ordered.
Ten minutes has gone by and Jeffery has not shown up. Jackson sighed, growing frustrated. I could tell he was getting impatient. "Can I see your mic?" Jackson asked. I pushed him the mic. "Jeffery, get to Zoey's office NOW. Or there WILL be consequences." Jackson demanded into the mic. Not even two minutes later, Jeffery came in with a slight frightened look. "Yes?" He asked. "How come you didn't do your assignment?" Jackson asked. "Oh, I did." Jeffery said, a smirk growing on his face. "Oh, really?" I asked, cocking an eyebrow. "Yep." Jeffery said, fully smirking. "Wipe that smirk off your face. It's pissing me off." Jackson growled.
I smacked the schedule on my desk, making Jeffery's eyes snap down to it. I pointed to his assignment. There was no signature, indicating he didn't do his assignment. In fact, there was not even a signature showing he even started it! I gave him an "Oh really?" look. Jeffery smirk fell and his face went blank. I gave him a smug look, mocking his smirk. "Think twice before lying, Jeffery!" I said coldly. Jeffery flinched a bit, like my tone stung him. "Jeffery, we all contribute to this camp." Jackson spoke. It unsettled me how calm Jackson was. "Zoey and I are the leaders, there's cooks, guards..." Jackson continued, "Do you know what you guys do?" Jeffery was quiet. "You guys do the assignments." I answered for him. "I never give anyone assignments they can't do." Jackson informs, "The assignments helps everyone."
A few moments of silence pass. "Jeffery, from now on, if you don't do your assignments, I will add an additional assignment for you to do. You have to do all of them." Jackson ordered. "YOU CAN'T DO THAT!" Jeffery bursts. "Yes, I can and I will." Jackson said coldly. " I don't want additional assignments!" Jeffery argued loudly. "Then do your assignments!" Jackson barked harshly.
"But what if I don't want to?!" Jeffery screamed. "I don't care." Jackson said venomously. Jeffery muttered a slurry of curse words along with something else. "Excuse me?" I snapped. "I said-SCREW YOU AND YOUR STUPID CAMP!" Jeffery yelled harshly. I immediately was taken back by that statement.
I looked over at Jackson. He was beyond pissed. "That tone is unacceptable." Jackson snapped. His fists were clenched so tightly, that his fists were white. "I don't care!" Jeffery snapped back. What happened next was a blur. Jackson reared his arm back and punched Jeffery in his nose. A sickening crack filled the room. Jeffery stumbled back, blood dripping from his nose. Before Jeffery can hit back, I jumped up between them. "STOP!" I yelled out. Jeffery looked at me. I could have sworn his eyes were red. The next thing I know was another loud crack, intense pain, and starred vision. Before I passed out, I realized something; Jeffery had punched me.
