Chapter #4, Silver's POV

I was playing a board game with August and June when Espio came home. And I was about to win.

"Hi, sweetie!" I said to him.

He didn't even respond. He set his stuff down and walked outside. He didn't even bat an eye.

"Hmm. Hey kids, I hate to cut or game short, but... I really can't stand seeing him like this. Let's just take a hike for a bit, okay?" I said, getting up and going outside.

I walk out and see Espio sitting in a chair. His back is turned to the door...

I walk over to him.

"Hey. You didn't even respond when I talked to you. What's up?"

Again, he didn't respond. He only shifted in his chair a bit and looked at me. Then he squeezed his eyes shut and sighed.

"I had a rough day at work. That's it. I'm going through a lot so just, I need some time alone."
