Chapter 8: Clashing

Levi's POV

Soon, the effects of her pregnancy was slowly popping up. Her little baby bump was showing, and Eren seemed to be very careful of her- just like I asked him to do. But lately... he's been making drawings for Hanji for her work. But since her pregnancy was showing through, I decided to drive Hanji to and from the museum. Also, Eren wanted to see the new exhibit about the sea... 

With Hanji, we were able to get in with a large discount and I walked with Hanji towards the sea exhibit. Soon, there was that man that she was with... the second day we came in. His face revealed how happy he was to see Hanji- yet seeing me... he scowled.

"Hanji! Long time no see. Who are- wait... we met before, haven't we?" He scowled towards me- but as I tried to speak to him, he never allowed me to speak. It's more like he wanted to get rid of me and out of the picture. "Anyways, you're so... different."

Eren clawed at my hands, forcing me to pull away from him. With anger filling his face, I tried to stop him, but I couldn't. Eren then kicked the man, scowling and yelling. "You leave my new Mommy alone!"

As I reached out, Hanji carefully picked him up and rested his head on her shoulder. She then gently shushed Eren, sighing a bit and looking towards the man. "Erwin, that's enough."

"Eh?" He leans close towards Hanji, and I admit, I growled at him. "You disappear from work -something you said that you would hardly ever do because you love children- and you're back with the child and his father! W-What's going on?"

"I'm pregnant... and I rather not have you trampling over my future family." I saw her scowl on her face towards Erwin. "I was gonna keep working here for the kids, but if you're gonna treat my future family like this... I don't want to work with you."

Erwin, I'm guessing, reached out for her arm and... I lost it. I stepped in, and grabbed his hand. Scowling heavily, I swatted the hand away and stared at him. "Oi... she's not yours. I would back off of her. Keep treating her like that, and I'll make sure that you pay respectively. Understand me?"

The man smirks, looking down. "What are you, her lover?"

"Soon to be the mother of my child." I scoffed, holding Hanji and Eren's hand. "Now, just back off of her."

Hanji nods, leading me away from the kids' lab. Once we were out of earshot, she sighed heavily, slowing her pace. "T-Thanks for the rescue, Levi... a-anyways, let's go see that sea exhibit... should be a sight to sea." She then chuckled nervously, "Ugh, sorry, bad puns."

I chuckled, kissing her cheek. "Bad puns or not, I'm always gonna be here for you."

I watched Eren gasping in joy in the sea exhibit. That's when he began to request going to the ocean one day... and I promised that he would go there soon. But... I wanted to wait on it because of Hanji's pregnancy. I wished we could've planned it sooner, but... whatever, am I right? At least... Eren gets his wish. Maybe when the baby's about 1 or so... we can go to the ocean... together... as a family...
