"hey, i'm sorry for bringing your dad up. it was in the heat of the moment and i just-." kenz said.

the boys were still eating and talking in the kitchen and kenz and i were in the living room.

"dude, it's okay, i understand." i reassured her.

she hugged me and i hugged her back. "anyway, so you and payton." i wiggled my eyebrows at her. "is it going well?"

"very, he is so sweet lexi. he makes me feel like, me when i'm with him." she said.

"boyfriends material?" i joked at her.

"oh you know it." she winked.

"you girls talking about us?" payton said, chase behind him, while they walked out of the kitchen.

"yah, about how annoying you guys are." i said sarcastically.

"that hurt." payton said.

"hey, you asked." i said and shrugged.

payton came and sat next to kenz, she instantly put her head on his shoulder.

"still up for the movie?" chase asked as he put his hand out in front of him for me to take.

"yes." i said taking it. he pulled me up from the couch.

the blue eyed boy kept his hand in mine as we walked to the staircase. he then let go as he took a step up the stair. i mean, i think he should of kept his hand in mine, but his hand is his property, so i'll keep that to myself.

we got back to paytons game room and i plopped onto the couch.

"so what movie?" he asked looking through netflix. he was standing next to the chair flipping through the movies.

"oh let's watch a scary movie!" i said excited as i watched him pass 'insidious'

he looked at me quickly. "i hate scary movies."

"awwee, fine you can cuddle up next to me if you get scared." i mocked him in a jokingly fashion.

"i hate you, but fine. which scary movie?"

"hmm, lets watch 'the shining' i heard it's not to scary." i winked at him.

"you're going to give me nightmares." he told me.

i laughed at his child play. he was cute.

he searched for the movie. once he found it, he put the xbox controller on the couch, "i'm going to get a blanket from payton's room."

he walked out and i pulled my phone out.

"so annoying." i said out loud.

"damn, i mean i could leave." i heard chase say behind me.

i turned around quickly. he had a big purple blanket in his arms and he was shirtless.

"not you dork, james, he acts like he's my dad." i rolled my eyes. "why can't he just text kenz?" i showed him my phone.

"because he likes you, so he wants to ask you, makes it seem less sketch when he texts you things like that, just so he can text you." chase said as he walked over to me and set the blanket down.

"and you know that how?" i asked him amused.

"well first, he wants to make you his queen or whatever he said, second, like you said why wouldn't he just text kenz? well because he can text you knowing he can find little ways to talk to you." he replied as he sat down next to me.

"damn, i never thought of it like that." i said, looking at the happy boy, he knew he was right. "but still no thanks."

chase covered us both up with the big blanket, then he pressed play on the movie.

chase was sitting about a foot away from me and it was dark in the room. the boy was watching the movie very intrigued by it. for some odd reason, i couldn't pay attention to the movie. it was a good movie, i know that from all the things i'v heard about it, but there was something that made me feel less into it and more into the boy that was sitting next to me.

chase looked over to me and smiled. i smiled back at him and looked at the tv, he just caught be starring.

i felt my phone buzz in my lap and grabbed it. kenz texted me.

"this movie is so fucking scary." chase said as i locked my phone.

"i know, the dad is so creepy." i said back.

chase put his foot rest up on the couch and laid back to get more comfortable.

"what the, do i got one of those?" i asked him acting serious.

he looked at me and laughed. "yah, its in the couch, there is a string you have to pull."

i reached into the couch and found nothing. "yah, no there is nothing." i looked at him smiling.

"here," he said as he leaned over me. he pulled the string and my foot rest popped up, which made me jump.

he laughed and sat back. "there ya go."

"thanks." i said to the boy who was smiling at me. he sat back and his hair flipped into his eyes, he leaned forward and ran his hands through his hair. he looked over at me and winked.

why does he always catch me starring? why am i starring?
