sometimes i think the sun and the moon are lovers who rarely meet, always chase and almost always miss one another. but once in awhile they do catch up, and they kiss, and the world stands in awe of their eclipse.
i woke up to the tv playing some show from netflix. chase was passed out in his spot and it was very dark. i unlocked my phone. it was 2:27 am. why the hell am i awake?
i locked my phone and laid down, trying to fall back asleep. i shook my head and got up. i need water. i removed the blanket from me and got up, chase moved a little.
i walked over to the door and turned the nob trying to be really quite. "where are you going?" chase asked, you could hear the tired in his voice.
"i need something to drink." i told him.
he sat up, "wanna go get some apple juice at the gas sataion?" he genuinely asked.
"hell yes, you drive though." i said and walked over to my keys. i left my phone there because there was no need for it.
i watched chase get up off the couch and threw a random shirt on, probably one of payton's. he walked over to me and put his arm over my shoulder. "3 am run, shall we?" he said as he started to walk, me following since his arm was around me.
"shu, we can not wake up kenz and payton." chase said as we slowly walked down the stairs.
the stairs didn't creek so that was a plus. but once we got onto the hard floor, they started to creek. i put my finger to my mouth, telling chase to shu, jokingly.
we got up to the front door and i threw my keys at him so he could drive, but i didn't warm him so they feel on the floor.
"shit." i said quietly.
"hello?" payton asked as he sat up. he ran his hand through his hair.
i threw my hand over chase's mouth and we both tried not to laugh.
we watched payton lay back down and we walked out the front after putting our shoes on. "dude that was so close, payton would have been so mad if he knew we woke him up."
"yah kenz would have straggled us if she woke up and caught us." i laughed.
chase got into the car after i did and he buckled.
"okay, don't kill us and we will be good!" i told him.
"i promise i wont."
"pinky promise?" i held my pinky out for him.
he gave me a smile. again with the smile. he then locked his pinky with mine, "i pinky promise."
he backed out of payton's drive way and took us to the gas station. while we were on our way i plugged my phone into the aux. i played the song 'bestfriends house' by zuinel. it was a good song.
chase started to sing it along with me. we were both dancing a long, it was pretty fun.
chase pulled into the parking lot and i turned the music down.
"wanna know how i know that song?" chase asked, he turned and looked at me.
"tell me."
"tiltok." he replied.
"ohh so you got famous off one of my favorite songs." i wiggled my eyes at him.
"not famous, but yah." he laughed getting out of the jeep.
i got out as well and we walked into the gas station. we walked to the back by the drinks. chase grabbed 2 things of apple juice and pulled his wallet out.
"you really gonna pay for it?" i asked him as we walked to the counter.
"you really gonna fight it." he winked.
"i mean, no. of course not, just asking." i smiled.
"$4.99." the cashier said. he looked bored.
"here keep the penny." chase said as we walked out.
"i do not think that guy likes his job." chase said as we got into the car.
"hey, he applied." i shrugged.
as chase was backing out of the parking spot he stopped. "i have an idea." he smirked at me.
"oh really."
"we should watch the sunset. it's almost 5." he asked. it was 4:25 am.
"if you can find a place, i'm down." i looked at the boy.
imagine dating him, there would be so many cute places he would take his girl. i want a boy like chase. he is sweet and he seems to care, i mean for one i just wanted water and the boy got me apple juice from the store instead.
chase started to drive again. he was driving with one hand while he had his other hand out the window. he's so confident in driving my car, i like it.
"here." chase said.
we were on some type of empty road, no trees so we could see everything.
"this is perfect." i told him as i got out, he followed me.
"oh i have an idea." i told chase as he shut his door. "i have blankets. we can watch the sunset in my car so we don't have to sit in the road."
"yah that's a good idea." he smiled at me.
i popped the trunk of my jeep and chase hopped in laying a blanket down. he then grabbed two pillows, that i didn't know i had, and placed them down for us. he walked to the front and grabbed an apple juice and then walked back to the trunk. i was still in the front, putting the keys in the center council. i climbed through the car and sat next to him.

"apple juice?" chase asked me handing it to me.
"yes please." i said taking it and drinking it right out of the container.
